Dress Up Framelits Treat Box

I was trying to come up with some different gift items and wanted to do some that could be used for many occasions.  So, I decided to make gift boxes using a Dress Up Framelit as the decorative piece attached to the box.  The box holds 4 Rollo Candies and was easy to make.   Here are step by step pictures of how I made it. 

Note - I have seen several demonstrators make this type of treat box and it is not an original idea of mine. 

For the box, cut a piece of card stock to measure 3" x 3".  Score at 3/4" on all sides.  Fold on the score lines and cut the ends to create the flaps to secure to make your box.  I used a small piece of Sticky Strip on each cut piece for a good hold.

Here is the folded box filled with 4 Rollo Candies.

Now, I wanted to add a cover to the top of the box so the candy would not fall out.  I cut another piece of Card Stock to measure 3" x 1/2" and scored at 3/4" at both ends.  I put Sticky Strip on the ends and adhered it to the top of my box.  See picture below.

Now that I have a top on my box, the candy will stay in place.  With the top on the box you could now add any type of small item and keep it secure.

Next, I took a piece of Designer Series Paper, folded it in half and placed the top of the dress on the fold line, making sure to lay the top of the dress slightly over the fold line so I would not cut out a single dress, instead two dresses that are attached at the top.  I then decorated the dress and attached it to my box with more Sticky Strip.

 Here is a side and front view of the finished Dress Box.  These would make a really nice Bridal Shower favor too.  Have fun decorating the dress and making it as simple or fancy as you want.
