Early Release of the Ornate Garden Suite

The Ornate Garden Suite, which will be in the new Annual Catalog that starts in June, has been released early by Stampin' Up! to give you a head start on creating with these new products.

You can see all of the products in the suite by going here to my Online Store.

Here is a card I made using some of the products.

I used a piece of the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper for my layer, and cut out the frame with an Ornate Layers Die.  I used Gold Foil to make it stand out, tied on a piece of Old Olive 1/4" ribbon, and added some Gilded Gems for a bit more embellishment.

My sentiment is from a current set in the Annual Catalog called Rooted in Nature and was stamped in Mint Macaroon Ink to coordinate with my paper.

The frames are really elegant and you will get 8 different sized dies that will add a nice touch to any of your cards or projects.

Good Morning Magnolia

When you have such a pretty stamp set and coordinating dies, you don't need to do a lot to make a  card.  Since I thought the design could be used for a lot of different occasions, I just stamped the front with "Thinking of You" so I would have an assortment of cards on hand for whenever a special occasion comes up and I am in need of a card.

I do like to make cards up ahead of time, some with no sentiment at all, so once I know what I need to send out I can just add the appropriate words and I am finished.

I used coordinating colors of Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow to add some color to my large flower and leaves.  Just a light strip of matching designer series paper to give it a little more background and design, all added to another cut layer of Petal Pink Card Stock,  and this simple card is finished.

Lovely Floral Embossing Folder

The new Lovely Floral Embossing Folder is a nice size, and you can use it instead of stamped images for the center of your card.  I used Sponge Daubers to add color to the flowers and stems, and placed it onto coordinating card stock.  What a simple, yet elegant card that is quick and easy to make.  A nice card for both a beginner and advanced stamper.

My sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  If you are looking for a set with a lot of sentiments, this one is great.  It has 32 stamps and can be purchased in either wood or clear.

Bright Wishes

If you want a new look for your cards, stamp your image once and then stamp it again on another piece of Card Stock.  Next punch out the part of the image you are highlighting, color it with either your markers, Stampin' Blends, or Water Color Pencils.

Next place this onto another larger cut circle, I used Basic Black Card Stock, and then put this onto your card, placing it where the first stamped image is.

Just a different look which can be used on any of your stamped images.

Count my Blessings

The Count My Blessings stamp set that I used for today's card is retiring at the end of the month.  I really like the large sentiment and it can be used for many occasions - get well, sympathy, friendship and more.

To my Whisper White card base I added a layer of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.  This paper has images perfect for not only the holidays but all occasion cards as well.  It too will be retiring at the end of the month.

After I stamped my images I layered them onto a piece of Basic Black card stock and added a piece of Basic Black Vintage Crochet Trim to finish the card.

Count my Blessings

The Count my Blessings Stamp Set is really nice for fall cards.   Pair the stamp set up with some Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper and you have the perfect combination of color and stamped images.

My card base is Very Vanilla Card Stock that was layered with Cajun Craze Card Stock and Painted Autumn DSP.  I also added another smaller layer of the Cajun Craze Card Stock under the piece of Very Vanilla that was stamped with my images.  I used Smoky Slate ink  for the flower and leaves, and then filled them in with Cajun Craze and Lemon Lime Twist ink,  using my Blender Pens.

The sentiment was stamped onto another piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock, snipped at the one end, and embellished with a piece of Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon.
