Something Lacy

The "Something Lacy" large background stamp is so pretty, and after you stamp it onto your card stock it almost looks like Designer Series Paper.  Such pretty images that you can just stamp using your favorite ink that I did in the card above, or to really add some texture and shine try heat embossing the images like I did in the card below.

For this card I stamped my image using Versa Mark ink onto a piece of Vellum, then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  I took my Pink Pirouette marker and just colored in a few of the flower , added some coordinating ribbon and my sentiment to finish my wedding card.

Tip:  When I stamp using a large background stamp I always put my Stampin' Pierce Mat underneath my paper to be stamped to get even coverage.

The following products were used to make both cards:

Happy, Happy Birthday

The Hello You Thinlits come with 4 dies that say happy, you, hello, and thanks.  They also come in a bundle with the Crazy about You stamp set to save you 15%.  Combine the sayings from the thinlits with one of the 33 sentiments in the stamp set and you can create cards for any occasion.

When using the thinlit dies I always add a piece of waxed paper between my card stock or designer series paper before running it through my Big Shot.  So my layer is Magnetic Platform, cutting plate, card stock or designer paper, wax paper, thinlit, cutting plate.  This really helps you get the thinlit out of the die without tearing it since they are really thin.  To adhere the cut thinlit to my card or project I use my 2-Way Glue Pen for easy application and hold.

My birthday at the bottom of the card was cut out using one of the dies in the Label Card Thinlits.  There are a lot of cute designs that come with that set too.

From the Herd

When I saw this new stamp set I knew I had to have it.  There is something about those cute animal faces, and the fun sentiments that come with the set that I really like.

I colored the animals to coordinate with my Designer Series Paper, using my Blendabilities for some nice shading and blending.  I cut out the balloon and party hat, and added a piece of Calypso Coral Pompom Trim to the top of my hat.  I also used my Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to add the small dots around my Whisper White Layer, and tied some Tangelo Twist 3/8' Stitched Satin Ribbon around my coordinating layers.
