To a Wild Rose

The beautiful "To a Wild Rose" stamp set can be bundled together with the coordinating Wild Rose Dies to save you 10%.  I used them both on today's card.

I stamped my flower and leaves with ink that coordinated with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper that I used as a layer for my card.  The colors were Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.  I love how bringing together coordinating colors really makes your card stand out, and with the colors listed on the back of the Designer Series Paper, it is really easy to design your card.

Floral Essence

The Floral Essence Stamp Set coordinates with the Perennial Flower Punch and can be purchased in a bundle to save you 10%.  In addition, the leaf in the stamp set coordinates with the Leaf Punch that is a carry over punch from the last Annual Catalog, and I used it today for my card.  It isn't noted in the catalog, so just wanted to point that out in case you purchased the set.

I didn't use the Perennial Flower Punch for my card below, but when you do use it, you just stamp two of the flowers in the stamp set and put them together to make one larger flower.

Beautiful You

I love creating backgrounds for the Beautiful You stamp set.  I wanted the lady to look like she was dancing on the sand so I used one of the textured stamps from the Touches of Texture stamp sets and blended some other colors using my ink pads and an Aqua Painter.  I did this directly onto Whisper White Card Stock, but you could also use Water Color Paper which will dry quicker.

The colors I used are Soft Sky, Peekaboo Peach, and Crumb Cake.  For the lady and the sentiment I used my Archival Black Ink Pad so the colors wouldn't run.

Hey, Chick

If you want new looks for your cards instead of the standard opening, there are quite a lot of different folds you can use that give you a unique look.  For my "Hey,Chick" card below the measurements are really easy.  Just take your 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of card stock and score on the long side at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8".  Now you have an opening that when folded still fits into a standard card envelope.  I used Designer Series Paper to decorate the front, as well as some Stitched Oval Framelits to highlight my chick.  The new Watercolor Pencils made it easy to give my chick the look she wanted, and to close my card I adhered velcro to the right side of my Oval Framelit, both on the Oval and directly on the card where the Oval was placed.

Dragonfly Dreams

The Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set and Coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies can be purchased together to save you 10%.

My card base of So Saffron was layered with a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock and Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.  To give more color and bring out the white embossed design on my Designer Paper, I used my Sponge Brayer and So Saffron Ink, and rolled it across the paper to get the look I wanted.  I then added a piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon, stamped and cut out my dragonfly which I placed onto my card using Dimensionals, and added my sentiment to finish the card.
