Sweet Baby

The Sweet Baby Stamp Set and coordinating Bouncing Baby Framelits Dies are retiring at the end of the month.  I just got my bundle a few weeks ago, and I'm glad I was able to make these cute baby boy and girl cards for class.

I see so many uses for the stamps and dies that I will be holding onto them even after they are retired.  If you would like to get them before they are gone, you can go to my Online Store by clicking the link in the upper left hand column of my blog.

You can add texture to your card base by using your favorite embossing folder.  A pop of color from coordinating Designer Series Paper, some sponging around the white oval, and the cute babies which were colored with Stampin' Blends make these some of my favorite baby cards.  I also plan on using the dies to make baby shower favors and to add to little baby treat boxes.

Tip:  You can color your Clear Faceted Gems using your Stampin' Blends.  I used one on the baby wrap and colored it with the Dark Highland Heather Blend.

Moon Baby

I finally took a break from making items for my craft fairs to make a baby card for a friend.  She is expecting her little bundle of joy soon and I am happy to be able to share this exciting time with her.

For my layer I  used a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Myths &  Magic pack, because I thought the stars in the background were a perfect match for my "Moon Baby".  I stamped my baby onto Whisper White Card Stock, cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and punched out a little star (retired punch), to attach it where the stamped star was.  I also used some of the new glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes on the moon for a bit more embellishment.

Baby Bear

The Baby Bear Stamp Set is really cute.  The stamped bear looks so real and cuddly, and makes a simple but elegant baby card. The sentiments also make this set great for weddings, valentines, thank you and more.

I stamped my bear once with the full image using Crumb Cake Ink and then used the image with the least amount of "fur" using Chocolate Chip Ink.  There is a third image you can stamp that has a little bit more "fur" to get a different look, but I was happy with the way this turned out.

If you need a baby girl card just change your colors.  I used some Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine for my bow, and added some Floral Boutique Washi Tape for a bit more color.

Hello baby!

I have so many friends having grandchildren within the next few months, that I thought I better get started on making some baby cards.  Not knowing if the babies will be boys or girls I thought I would use my layout and make some that could be used for either sex.    I used the new Little Sunshine Stamp Set and Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper for both cards and just used different embossing folders, ribbon, ink  and card stock to make them just a bit different.

For the card above I used Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock to coordinate with my Sweet Dreams paper, and embossed the layer with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  My hello, baby was cut using a Word Bubble Framelit and stamped using Elegant Eggplant ink and a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Baker's Twine was used for my bow.  The center cut out in both cards was made with a Square Collection Framelit.

Lost Lagoon Card Stock was used for the card above, and the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder embossed the layer.  My hello, baby was inked using Soft Suede ink and a piece of Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Ribbon created this bow.
