"A Birthday Note"

When I saw the stamp set, P.S. You're the Best, it brought me back to my high school days when we still used typewriters.  Nothing fancy, no framelits or thinlits that coordinate, but just a set that I knew I wanted because it brought back a lot of memories.  I really like the simplicity of the card below, and it was really a quick, easy card to make.

Gourd Goodness

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought I would post an easy Thanksgiving card.  I used some Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper for my background, stamped my two gourds, added some Burlap Ribbon and my card is done.

We are all so busy this time of year, so I like to do some quick cards, that still express my sentiments, but don't take up a lot of time.  The inside is stamped with the Happy Thanksgiving from Teeny Tiny Wishes, my go to stamp set for every occasion.

Painted Autumn

The pattern and images were so pretty that I didn't want to cover them up with a lot of layers and other designs.  So I just stamped and punched out a few leaves, tied on my ribbon, stamped my sentiment and then cut it out with a Bunch of Banners Framelits.

I love when a card comes together so quickly!

Simple Thank You

I like to create some simple cards for new stampers at my monthly classes.  This thank you card was made with just some Washi Tape for embellishment on the front and my large sentiment that was cut out with a Layering Square Framelit.

I always tell the ladies that coordination is the key.  If you are just starting out get your self some ink and coordinating card stock, designer paper and embellishments, along with a few stamp sets that fit your needs and you can get started making cards.  Once you are comfortable with this, start adding more layers, die cuts, coloring techniques and so on, but just enjoy the process at any level.

Simple birthday card

I like to design some simple cards for my classes for beginner stampers to show them that you don't always need a lot of embellishments, or even stamping to create pretty cards.  The secret is coordination, and Stampin' Up! makes it really easy when their ink, card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and embellishments all work well together.

My card base is Mint Macaroon Card Stock that I layered with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock and a piece of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper**.  I then cut out a circle with a Stitched Shapes Circle Framelit and placed this onto the layers.  I tied some Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon around the layers, along with another small piece of Mint Macaroon 3/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon to complement my colors that were used to stamp my happy birthday sentiment.  The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White Card Stock and then cut out with a smaller Stitched Shape Circle Framelit and placed this onto the card using Dimensionals.

**The Succulent Designer Series Paper used in today's card can be yours FREE if you choose it as one of your Sale-a-bration choices.  This paper along with 6 other new items were released on Tuesday 3/21/17 and will be offered as a FREE option until the end of Sale-a-bration on March 31st. If you wish to purchase this as a FREE choice you need to use the number #147364.  All of these products were posted on my blog on Wednesday, 3/22/17.
