I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, and hope 2016 is a great year.  I won't be blogging for a few days so I can take the time to relax with my family and friends, but wishing all of you the best this holiday season, and I hope you like the Christmas card I sent this year.  Merry Christmas and I will be back in 2016 with new and exciting products and projects.

Classic Rock Birthday

If you don't recognize the sentiment on today's card it might be because the stamp set "Bombs Away" is not in any catalog, but can be found at my Online Store.  In the past, Stampin' Up! had released some Photopolymer Stamp Sets every few months and while they didn't make the catalogs, they are still available for purchase.  It might be a good time then for you to check out all of the Photopolymer Stamp Sets and you can see them here at my Online Store.  Some of they will look familiar because they are in either the Annual or Holiday Catalog, but you will also find a few that you might not of known existed.

I saw a similar card posted awhile back and don't know who to credit, but I made the top of the card look like records and made them by using circle punches.  I layered them onto coordinating card stock and designer paper, added my ribbon and sentiment and I have a very oldie but goodie birthday card perfect for a friend who just turned 60.

Time to Chill!

I saw this cute idea for the Snow Place stamp set and the credit goes to Stampin' Up! demonstrator Tami White.  The inside has a sentiment for a birthday, and it is perfect for those celebrating winter birthdays.

My card base of  Whisper White Card Stock was stamped with snowflakes using Lost Lagoon ink.  I also sponged some of the ink over the layer to soften the background.  My igloo was cut out using a Circle Framelit and embossed with the Brick Wmbossing Folder.  To make the opening on the igloo I used my 1 1/2" circle punch, and then placed the igloo onto my card using Dimensionals.  I stamped and cut out my Penguin using the coordinating Framelits.

There is still time to purchase the Snow Place Stamp Set and Framelits, but don't wait too long because the Holiday Catalog expires January 4th or while supplies last.

    Into the Woods Birthday Card

I am going to miss the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper, so I made sure to stock up on some extra before it retires at the end of the year.  I love the beautiful backgrounds and didn't need much more to make my card.

My card base of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock was layered with Mossy Meadow Card Stock and a piece of the designer paper.  I also tied on some coordinating Into the Woods 3/8" Cotton Ribbon. My large birthday sentiment from the hostess stamp set "Happy Birthday, Everyone"  was cut out with an Oval Framelit, and I also added a few small flowers that I punched with the opposite side of the paper. Some coordinating Candy Dots finished the card.

    Winter birthdays

The Winter Wishes Stamp Set, which will be available until January 4th, is a great set for winter birthdays or occasions.   If you are like me and have a lot of winter birthday cards to send, this set has really nice images to use.  A very nostalgic set which reminds me of a lot of fond winter memories.

To start I embossed my Tip Top Taupe card with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  I then stamped one ice skate onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that I cut out using a Deco Label Framelit.  I then cut another skate on another piece of Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with my paper snips so I could layer it on top of the first skate.  I tied on a piece of Linen Thread and added some Candy Dots, stamped on my sentiment and placed this on with a dimensionals.  A simple card, but one that wishes a very wintery birthday wish.
