Another Serene Scenery Card

This is another card I will be offering in my Serene Scenery Card Class.  The Paper Stack comes with 48 sheets of 6 x 6 paper - 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.  The  papers are beautiful and offer so many options for great cards or projects.

My card base of Pool Party Card Stock was layered with one of the Serene Scenery papers.  I love this paper, and thought it would make a pretty base for a wedding card.  I cut two hearts using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, and cut some flowers from the Flourish wishes.  My "congrats" was stamped with Crumb Cake ink right onto the paper.

Note -  I was not going to originally add the cut flowers, but I smudged my congrats so the flowers did a nice job hiding it.  I always tell my group at classes that if you make a mistake you can usually find a creative way to cover it up, and  I think the flowers added a nice addition to the card.

Sunshine Sayings

The Sunshine Saying Stamp Set and coordinating Sunshine Wishes Thinlits can be purchased together in a bundle to save you 10%.  I used  them both for today's card, and the inspiration was from a card I saw in my Stampin' Success magazine which all demonstrators receive.  It is full of great ideas and just one of the many perks of being a demonstrator!

My card base is Daffodil Delight Card Stock.  To this I added a new Delicate White Doily and then my layer of Whisper White Card Stock.  Using So Saffron ink I stamped some of the watercolor marks onto my paper, and then cut out my flower and congrats using Calypso Coral Card Stock.  I also cut out the stem, using Cucumber Crush Card Stock, added some stamped leaves and my sentiment at the bottom.  I got a little smudge of ink in the lower right hand corner of my card so I cut another small flower, using a Flourish Thinlit,  and added this to cover it up.

Something Lacy

The "Something Lacy" large background stamp is so pretty, and after you stamp it onto your card stock it almost looks like Designer Series Paper.  Such pretty images that you can just stamp using your favorite ink that I did in the card above, or to really add some texture and shine try heat embossing the images like I did in the card below.

For this card I stamped my image using Versa Mark ink onto a piece of Vellum, then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.  I took my Pink Pirouette marker and just colored in a few of the flower , added some coordinating ribbon and my sentiment to finish my wedding card.

Tip:  When I stamp using a large background stamp I always put my Stampin' Pierce Mat underneath my paper to be stamped to get even coverage.
