Tin of Card Kit

Another great card kit, which you can make for yourself, or get as a gift for someone who likes to make cards, even a beginner stamper, is the Designer Tin of Cards Project Kit.  You can see the kit and coordinating stamp set on pages 160 and 161 of the Annual Catalog.  Here is a close up look of my cards made with the kit.

You get materials to make 16 cards with envelopes, 4 each of the designs below.  The coordinating stamp set is purchased separately, but you could also use stamp sets you already own if you are working on a budget.

If you would like to purchase this as a gift you might want to include some of the coordinating ink pads.  I used Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, and Night of Navy to stamp my sentiments and images, but the kit also coordinates with several other colors which are listed in the catalog.

Stitched with Cheer Project Kit - Stampin' Up! Video

The Stitched with Cheer Project Kit comes with materials to complete 18 cards.  Not only are the cards unique with their stitched stars, snowflakes, and trees, they are also a very economical way to make your Christmas and holiday cards.  I will be offering this kit in a class in November, and I thought you might like to watch this video by Stampin' Up! that gives you more details.

Note -  In my class I will be offering different Christmas stamps than the set that coordinates with the kit.  I have a lot of sets that I knew would work, so I purchased the kit but not the stamp set.  As you can see from my samples, there were just a few changes.

Home Sweet Home for Halloween

Yesterday I posted a video showing the Home Sweet Homes Thinlits Dies.  Here are just a few of the "Haunted Houses" I made for Halloween.  I put two Kit-Kat bars inside each one and closed the bottom using just a Dimensional so the bottom could be opened without ripping the house apart.

Note - I used retired Halloween paper and retired Candy Dots for the door knob, but all of the other products are current.

For the roof I cut 6 of the shingle layers for each side.  I placed the bottom shingle on first and then layered the others on top.  I trimmed the sides for a finished look.

Peace this Christmas

Yes, the new Holiday Catalog will be live on September 1st, but just in case you wanted to start getting your Christmas cards finished a bit earlier, Stampin' Up! has some holiday stamp sets in the Annual Catalog as well.

My card base is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock that I layered with a piece of This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, also offered in the Annual Catalog.  I tied a piece of Real Red 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around my layer, and then stamped my images onto Very Vanilla Card Stock.  This was cut out with a Banner Framelit.  I added a piece of Gold Sequin Trim for a bit more embellishmene to finish my card.

Seaside Shore

Living in a state that has four seasons, and with summer almost over, I wanted to make sure to make a few cards with the Seaside Shore Stamp Set while I am still thinking of beach days.   I also love the coordinating By the Shore Designer Series Paper.  This whole grouping of products, all of which can be seen on page 92 of the Annual Catalog are just great.  I didn't use the Seaside Texture Embossing Folder for this card, but it goes well with these products too.

My card base is Dapper Denim Card Stock that was layered with a piece of Calypso Coral and my designer paper.  I added some Dapper Denim Ribbon and then stamped my sentiments using Dapper Denim Ink.  Oval Framelits cut out the large sentiment, and my Happy Birthday was cut out using a Bunch of Banner Framelit.
