Fancy Favor Box Snowflake Luminaria

I made this luminaria the same as the one I posted awhile back, just tried it with different images and colors.

I ran a 6 x 12 piece of Night of Navy cardstock through my Big Shot Machine using the Fancy Favor Bigzx xl Die.  Before I assembled the box, I punched a hole on both sides with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle.  I stamped the snowflake image on a piece of 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Vellum cardstock with versa mark ink and then heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder.  Using glue dots I attached the vellum to the inside of the box covering the scallop circles.  I also stamped more snowflakes using Whisper White craft ink all over the box in random order and then put it together using Sticky Strip for extra hold.    I used a battery operated tea light instead of a candle so it is safe to use anywhere.

To make today's post I used the following:
Cardstock:  Night of Navy 12 x 12 #119932, Vellum #101856
Stamp Set:  Snow Swirled #111689
Ink:  Whisper White Craft #101731, Versa Mark #102283
Punch:  2 3/8" Scallop Circle #118874
Embellishment:  Silver Embossing Powder #109131
Accessories:  Heat Gun #100005, Glue Dots #103783, Sticky Strip #104294

Christmas Luminaria

Using the Fancy Favor Bigz xl Die and the Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch I was able to make luminaria for the holidays in a snap.  I am also going to be using these in my powder room in place of lit candles, and they would also be cute as a night light for children.  Inside I placed a battery operated tea light, so there are no worries about forgetting to blow out a lit candle.

I cut a 6 x 12 piece of Real Red Cardstock with the Fancy Favor Die.  Before I put the box together, I punched a scallop circle on each side and using pieces of 3 x 3 vellum cardstock  I stamped one side with the Christmas tree, and the other with the reindeer.  Using the vellum allows your images and the light to show.  For a little extra adornment I used rhinestone brads around the scallop circle.

To make the luminaria I used the following:
Cardstock:   Real Red #102482, Vellum #101856
Stamp Sets:  Dasher #116816, Snow Swirled #111690
Ink:  Garden Green #102272, Early Espresso #119760
Embellishment:  Rhinestones #119246
Punch:  2 3/8" Extra Large Scallop Circle #118874
Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #113439, Extended Cutting Pads #113475, Fancy Favor Bigz xl Die #115965

Hot Chocolate Anyone

Adding the Sweet Treat Cups to the center of your Fancy Favor Box and you have another holiday gift, great for teachers, secret santa's, friends, and more.

To start I took a piece of 12 x 6 Real Red Cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Fancy Favor Bigz Die to get the box.  Before I put it together I stamped snowflakes all over it in random order.  I then took my 1 3/4" circle punch and punched a hole in the center of the front of the box and placed my Sweet Treat Cup filled with mini marshmallows.  I layered a piece of 3 x 3 Real Red cardstock behind the Treat Cup to keep it in place.  I used Sticky Strip to put the box together, added the handle  which was a left over piece of cardstock from when I cut out the box.  I added a tag, put in the hot chocolate and some Hershey Kisses tied in a small cello bag.  Thanks to fellow SU demonstrator Kimberly for this great idea.

To make today's gift box I used the following:
Cardstock:  Real Red #119940, Whisper White #100730
Stamp Set:  Snow Swirled #111690, Tags til Christmas #120847 wood mount, or #122269 clear mount
Ink:  Whisper White Craft #101731, Baja Breeze #111833
Punches:  1 3/4" Scallop Oval #119854, 1 3/4" Circle #119850
Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #1134439, Fancy Favor Bigz xl Die #115965, Extended Cutting Pads #113478, Sticky Strip #104294, Sweet Treat Cups #116802, Crop-a-Dile #108362, Silver Brad #104336 (for the handle)

Gift Boxes and Bookmarks

All of these Teacher Appreciation Gifts - the Gift Box, Bookmark, and Thank You Card were made using one pack of Designer Series Paper, and 3 pieces of assorted cardstock. Best of all, I purchased the Designer Series Paper when it was on the Clearance Rack, so it was really a bargain, and I even have some paper left over to make a few more boxes. I will fill the boxes with some Hershey Kisses placed in a cello bag and tied with coordinating ribbon. Check out today's two other posts for supplies used for the box and bookmark. The 3 x 3 thank you cards were made using assorted cardstock, and the scallop oval and small oval punch. The saying on the card was from the Oval All Stamp Set #113790.
