Merry Christmas to all!

In my last blog post of 2016 I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and as my card says I wish you "Peace, Joy & Love".   I have been blessed throughout the year with a wonderful family and great friends and customers who have made another year of me being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator very rewarding.

My wish for everyone reading this it that you have a very happy holiday and get to celebrate it with your loved ones, and that looking forward I wish for all of you to have a happy, healthy, and blessed 2017.

I look forward to another great year of stamping and creating with the ladies who come to my classes and share my love of stamping, and also send a thank you to all of them for inspiring me as well.

I will be back in January with more posts but now want to take the next week to focus on family and making more memories with them.  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  See you in 2017.

Window Box Thinlits Video

Here is another new product Video I would like to share with you.  I know I have been posting a lot of videos lately, but I want you to be able to see the new products in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs before you place your order.  I know it always makes my decisions a little bit easier if I can see samples and learn how to use the new products before I order, and I hope you do too.

These two products, which you can purchase in a bundle to save you 10%, will be great for making small gift boxes, and with Mother's Day and Easter coming up I know I will put them to good use.  The stamp set alone will be great for your card projects too.

New Watercolor Pencils coming soon!

With the release of the new Occasions Catalog in only a few short weeks, I thought you might like to see some of the new product videos produced by Stampin' Up!.  One of the products I am excited about is the Watercolor Pencils.   They come in 13 Stampin' Up! colors and work with the Aqua Painters, Blender Pens, or by themselves.

Enjoy!

Star of Light

I try to make a couple cards at my classes that don't need a lot of die cutting.  So for this card I kept the cutting to a minimum, but added my punched star piece at the top of the card to dress it up a bit.  The only cutting was the gold star in the middle of the card.

My card base is Crumb Cake Card Stock.  To this I added my large star stamped in Early Espresso ink.  I cut out the stars at the top using the Confetti Star Border Punch.  I also punched a strip of the stars with Gold Glimmer Paper and placed the small stars that are left over and placed a few on my paper.  A simple card to make.

Christmas Magic

I love the images in the Christmas Magic Stamp Set.  They can be stamped and left alone, or you can color them in a bit like I did.

I cut a layer of Whisper White Card Stock to place onto my white base.  I stamped my images and then embossed the paper.  Remember to stamp your images first.  I then colored them in a bit, added my snowflake and sentiment for a bit more embellishment and placed this onto my card using Dimensionals.  The snowman and North Pole images had a little blank space between them after I stamped them, so I just took my Basic Black Marker and connected them to make it look like one large single stamp.

Wondrous Wreath

With all of the new Stamps in the Holiday Catalog, I forget about some of last year's sets that are still current and on my shelves.  I made sure to get some of them out so we could make some different cards at my last stamp class for the year.

I embossed my Crumb Cake Card Stock with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, and layered this onto a piece of Real Red Card Stock.  I then cut out my window frame using the Hearth & Home Thinlits and placed this over a piece of Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper.  I stamped and then cut out my wreath and bow using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits and added a Rhinestone and my "Merry Christmas"  for the finishing touches.

Note:  The Fine Tip Glue Pen and Silicone Craft Sheet work so well together when you want to adhere thin objects.  The craft sheet keeps your work surface from getting sticky and messy and your paper or embellishment won't stick to the craft sheet making it easy to use for any kind of project that needs adhesive.

Alternate Paper Pumpkin Card

When I got my November Paper Pumpkin kit I liked the contents.  Two ink spots, a Christmas stamp set and a lot of materials to make the cards.  I do, however, like to send full sized cards so I altered mine so they would fit in a standard envelope.  I will keep the envelopes that came in the kit for another project, as well as the vellum layer which I didn't use, but will be offering this version as an option for one of the cards at my December Stamp Class.

The white piece that has the scenery on it and all of the cute trees, houses and embellishments came in the kit.  I just added a coordinating layer of Dapper Denim and Pear Pizzazz Card Stock under it and attached all of this to a full size Whisper White Card Base.

The monthly Paper Pumpkin kits are always full of great surprises, and as you can see they can be altered to fit your own personal style, or you can follow the directions in each kit to finish the project. If you would like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin you can click the link in the upper left hand column of my blog to sign up.  You can sign up for a one month subscription, or get one, three, or 12 month prepaid subscriptions.

I renew my 12 month subscription each year during Sale-a-bration which will start next month.  By doing it this way I earn 4 FREE Sale-a-bration products as well as $21.50 in Stampin' Rewards and save $2.00 on each kit.  Just a thought if you were thinking of subscribing for a year.  The 6 month prepaid option gives you 2 FREE Sale-a-bration products, and the 3 month prepaid option give you 1 FREE Sale-a-bration product.  If  you have a current subscription you can change it to either pre-paid option if you are now doing it month to month.  Feel free to e-mail or comment if you have any questions.
