Cutie Pie Thinlits

The Cutie Pie Thinlits which are retiring, are my go to product when I want to make cute boxes for gifts.  When cut they look like cake slices, but you can also decorate them as Christmas trees or get really creative and you can turn them into cute animals.

I cut these boxes to use for Mother's Day gifts and they are big enough to fill with lots of chocolates, or even some nice jewelry or whatever type of small gift you want to give.  Decorate them to go with the occasion you are giving them for and in no time you have a really cute gift box.

I decorated the top of my boxes by punching flowers with my Pansy punch and an assortment of Designer Series Paper.  One of the flowers on each box was punched with Whisper White Card Stock and my Mother's Day sentiment was stamped on this flower.  I tied a bow around each box for a bit more embellishment.

The boxes are easy to cut and you can get one full cake slice using one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock with some left over paper for scraps.  You can use your Tear Tape or Fast Fuse to adhere the box together, and when you untie the ribbon the box opens up on the back and stays intact to be used again.

Monster Hugs

The Yummy in My Tummy stamp set is retiring soon.  Isn't is just so cute for not only birthday cards, but also treat bags, gift tags, and children's crafts.  It will be retiring soon, along with the Time Of Year hostess set which was used for my birthday sign at the top of the card.

I added some Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape to the bottom of my layer for a pop of color, and this can be purchased on sale at 40% off, and is available while supplies last.

The Party with Cake stamp set which was used for the inside of my card is also retiring and the clear mount set is on sale at 25% off.

Circle of Spring

You still have time to purchase the Circle of Spring stamp set.  It will be retiring at the end of the current Annual Catalog and it is a great set for Mother's Day, birthday, thank you, Easter and more.  I created this simple Mother's Day card for my stamp class this month, and it coordinates with the Wonderful Wreath Framelit Dies which will also be retiring and available while supplies last.

You could  fill in your wreath with Stampin' Up! markers for a bit more color, but I will leave that up to the ladies to decide how much color they want for their card.  I like to see their creativity show through and don't always finish the cards I have on display.    Pair this up with some coordinating Designer Series Paper and you have an easy card ready to go.

Thoughtful Banners

The Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set has 53 photopolymer stamps with many sentiments and words that you can use to create cards for so many occasions.  I created this card for Mother's Day, but you can really change the card up so many ways to get the meaning you want.

My card base of Whisper White Card Stock was layered with a piece of Floral Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  I then cut another piece of Whisper White Card Stock and stamped my lines and then came up with my sentiment.  The "blessed" sentiment in the center was cut out with the coordinating Duet Banner Punch.  The stamp set and punch will be carrying over into the Annual Catalog, and if you are looking for a stamp set to be used for many occasions this is a great one to have.

Another "Special Reason" card

Another card we will be making at my April Stamp Class uses the Special Reason Stamp set and coordinating Stylish Stems Framelits Dies.  You can see my post on Wednesday that listed the sale prices for some of these products, and if you like what you see the products are available while supplies last and will not be available in the new Annual Catalog in June.

The color under the cut out flowers and leaves is a layer of Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.  All of the designer papers in both the Annual and Occasions Catalog will be retiring as well.
I also added a bit more color to the Very Vanilla layer by using one of the stamps in the Gorgeous Grunge Set which is also retiring.

The difference with this card and the one I posted on Wednesday is that instead of stamping and cutting out my flower I used different Framelits to just get the cut out image on the front layer with the color coming through the bottom layer.  I also lightly stamped a flower onto my birthday sentiment and placed this onto my card with Dimensionals.

Note:  Some of the products used in today's card may already be sold out, and the list chances daily.  So, if there is something you really want that is on the retired list don't wait too long.
