Popcorn Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up! - Video

I have a stamp class tonight, so I don't won't have time to post my own creation as I finish prepping for the class, so I thought I would share this video by Stampin' Up! that showcases the Popcorn Box Thinlits.  The finished boxes measure 3 5/8" x 2 1/4" x 1 5/8" so they are big enough to fill with popcorn, candy, or any small goodies, but not too large that you have to put a lot of product in, making them perfect for favors, thank you gifts, teacher gifts and more.  Just decorate with Designer Series Paper, Card Stock, add stamped images and sentiments to fit the occasion, fill them up and you have a cute treat box.  I can see me using them for showers, birthday favors, thank you gifts, holiday treat boxes and so much more.   Once I start preparing for my Holiday Craft Fairs I will share all of the ideas I came up with.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the video.

The thinlits coordinate with the Ready To Pop Stamp Set.  You can purchase them separately or together in a bundle to save you 10%.  You don't have to have the stamp set to  make the cute boxes, but the sentiments and designs in the set work so well with it that of course I had to get the bundle.

Floral Thinlits - Wow!

This was a very popular card at my June stamp classes this week.  The Floral Thinlits are just beautiful, and you can turn this into a card for so many different occasions.  I made mine into a wedding card, but some of the ladies changed the sentiments and used it for sympathy, birthday, and thinking of you, just to name a few.

The new Big Shot Platform, when used with the Precision Plate makes cutting these dies so easy, and the Die Brush gets out all of these little pieces.  If you already have a Big Shot you have the old style platform which will still work with these dies, but you get a much better cut with the new platform and Precision Plate.

To adhere the cut layer to my card base I used Dimensionals.  Where there was room I placed a full Dimensionals, but I also cut some of my Dimensionals into really small pieces to adhere behind the thinner areas.  You don't need Dimensionals all over the back, but I just made sure to place some at all the corners and a few in the center.

The Thinlits and Floral Phrases Stamp Set can be purchased in a bundle to save you 15%.  See the numbers for the products used below.

Baker's Box Thinlits - Bird House

When I participate in craft fairs for the holidays I try to come up with a few different product ideas to go along with the usual bunnies and chicks.  So this year I thought I would turn the Baker's Box Thinlits Die into a bird house.  I cut a hole in the center using a Circle Framelit, not the framelit that came with the box (I wanted a smaller circle), adhered a Window Sheet on the inside and added my Robin Eggs.  I placed a Hello Spring tag on one side, and a Happy Easter tag on the other side.  Now, when you think of Spring you can also think of Easter and all of the goodies that the Easter Bunny brings.

You can cut this framelit with Designer Series Paper or Card Stock.  I used paper from the Neutral Designer Series Paper Stack.  You can cut two bird houses with one 12 x 12 sheet of paper.  There are instructions that come with the thinlit on how to put the box together.  I added the mini clothespin at the top more for decoration than to keep the box together since I used my Tear & Tape Adhesive to keep it together.

Playful Pals Video

I was on the fence about ordering the Playful Pals Stamp Set and coordinating Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies.  But after seeing some great samples by other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and watching this video I knew I couldn't resist it any longer.  My grandchildren will have a lot of ideas for me too with the animals I can create for them, and with another grandchild born just two weeks ago, I know I will put this to good use.

I can see me creating a lot of cute animals with the stamp set all by itself, but can take it to the next level with the Thinlits.  Great for birthday parties, baby showers, classroom gifts, and so much more.

I will be getting my bundle next Monday and will post some of my own creations at a later date, but for now I hope you enjoy the video and see how fun putting together these cute animals can be.

Note: I am showing the products as a bundle to save you 15%, and also individually since they can be purchased both ways depending on your needs.

Square Pillow Box Thinlits Die - Video

I am having two workshops today so I don't have a lot of time to post a project, but I thought you might like to watch this video from Stampin' UP! to see how easy it is to cut and use the new Square Pillow Box Thinlits Die.  It is on page 41 of the Holiday Catalog, and you can purchase it with the 'A Little Something Stamp Set" in a bundle to save you 15%.    How cute is this, and you can decorate it for the appropriate occasion and fill it with  treats and have a nice little gift in no time at all.

Enjoy the video!

Altered "Berry Basket" card

The Berry Basket Bigz L Die in the Occasions Catalog has been carried over into the new Annual Catalog coming out in June.  I am so glad to see it in the new catalog because it is for more than just making cute baskets.  My card today shows how I used part of the basket to create this flower pot birthday card.

When you run your paper through your Big Shot to cut the basket you will cut enough to make two baskets.  For my card I ran Crumb Cake Card Stock through my machine and then stamped over it with the Hardwood Stamp using Chocolate Chip ink.  I tied a piece of Crushed Curry Baker's Twine around the basket and added my birthday wishes.  This was placed onto my card with dimensionals.

For my flowers I used the Fun Flower and Pansy punches and pieces of Brights and Subtles Designer Series Paper from the paper stacks.  A few pearls were added to my flowers and this was placed onto my layers of Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper and Card Stock.  In addition I punched a few Old Olive leaves using my Bird Builder Punch.
