I have been seeing a lot of cards using the Sunburst Design and I wanted to try one of my own. I thought the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper had the perfect colors for my Sunburst.
My card base is Calypso Coral Card Stock with a layer of Pool Party Card Stock that measures 5 1/4" x 3". I then took a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock that measured 5" x 2 3/4" and used that to layer on my Designer Paper pieces. I cut 4 pieces of the Designer Paper to measure 1 1/2"x 4", and then I cut them on a diagonal to create my triangles. I placed these cut pieces onto my Very Vanilla Card Stock, making sure to cover every piece of that paper. My Glue Stick worked great to keep the pieces in place. I then turned it over, and trimmed the excess paper. You will have more excess on the side pieces.
I also added a piece of Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button for a bit more embellishment. My sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set.
The important thing to remember is to cover all of your base paper that holds your triangle shapes so the design covers the whole layer.
