Swallowtail

The Swallowtail Single Stamp looks pretty just stamped in ink, but add some heat embossing and you take your design to a whole new level.

My card base is Pool Party Card Stock that is layered with a piece of Whisper White and Calypso Coral.  I stamped my Swallowtail with Versa Mark ink and then applied Pool Party Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I wish you could see how it shimmers, but the picture doesn't show all of the detail.  I added a piece of Calypso Coral 3/4" Chevron Ribbon to the right side, and placed a Pool Party Candy Dot on my punched sentiment.

You could also add Stampin' Glitter to really give the Swallowtail sparkle.  You would first stamp your image in Versa Mark, apply Heat and Stick Powder to the image and then heat set.  Add your glitter and heat set again.  So many options for heat embossing.  Experiment to find the image you like best.

The design for this card was inspired by my good friend Sue who made me a beautiful birthday card using this stamp.  After seeing it I knew I had to order it for myself.  Thanks Sue!
