Backyard Basics

The card design was inspired by one of ladies who comes to my monthly stamp classes.  She showed me a card that she had made that was scored on the end and tied with a ribbon like the card I made here.  Thanks Nancy D. for your inspiration!

My card base of Whisper White Card Stock was cut to measure 4 1/4 x 11 and then folded in half.  I then scored the folded end at 1 1/2" using my Scoring Plate.  For my layers I used Early Espresso, and Summer Starfruit Card Stock, and a piece of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper.  My Summer Starfruit Card Stock was embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. My butterflies are from the Backyard Basic Stamp Set, and then cut out with the Backyard Basics Framelits.

A piece of Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Ribbon was tied to my scored end giving a unique opening to the card.  I added my birthday sentiment and little butterfly to the corner, and placed my butterflies on using dimensionals.

Note- You can purchase the Backyard Basics Stamp Set and Framelits as a bundle to save 15% off the total price.  Using #132729 for the wood bundle and #132728 for the clear bundle.
