Blast off!

Layering is really easy with the Square Collection Framelits

A little greeting on the inside of the card

I needed a new Stamp Set for making children's cards and I finally got around to ordering Blast Off.  It was one of the items on my Wish List that didn't get crossed off last year and was happy to see it was continued in the new catalog.

My card base is Night of Navy Card Stock that was stamped with the star image before adding my layers.  My layers that were cut with the Square Framelits are a color combination of Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.   I used Smoky Slate ink for my Space Ship and my 1 1/4" Circle Punch cut out the middle.  My little astronaut was inked with Night of Navy ink and I used my paper snips to cut him out and place him behind this layer.  I used dimensionals to pop up the Whisper White layer.   I stamped my greeting onto a piece of Whisper White scraps and then hand snipped the ends.

Whenever I use dark Card Stock for my card I add a layer inside so you can write your message.  I thought the little alien would be cute as an added surprise when the card is open.  I think my grandchildren will love creating with this set as well.
