Lattice Thinking of You

It's funny.  When I prepare cards for my stamp classes I try to think of what cards I think the girls will really like, and sometimes I design one that I am not sure of.  Well, this Thinking of You card was one that after I made it I wasn't sure if I really liked it, but it ended up being the favorite card of the month.  I had to make more than I originally prepared because almost everyone made at least one of this card.  So, now I can imagine that is how the design team at Stampin' Up! feels when they design the new products for the catalogs.  You never really know what is going to work but just have to try different things.

My card base is Rose Red Card Stock that I layered with Whisper White, and  another piece of Rose Red to place behind my design.  I cut my Lattice piece only once using Whisper White Card Stock, and my Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper was placed behind the cut lattice piece (I cut it a little bit bigger than the die cut piece), and trimmed around the design so the pattern would should through the cut out pieces.  It didn't take long to trim, so don't be afraid to try it.  I added a Candy Dot to the middle of the design, and placed my sentiment at the bottom.
