Vintage Thanks

If you are looking for an elegant stamp that can be used for multiple occasions, Elizabeth is the stamp for you.  Now notice I did not say stamp set.  The Elizabeth stamp is sold a' la carte.  It is just one of the great individual stamps you can choose from in the Idea Book & Catalog.

For today's card I stamped the Elizabeth stamp in Early Espresso and added the thank you from the Because I Care hostess stamp set.  To add a more vintage look to the card I took a Pear Pizzazz marker and my Color Spritzer Tool to mist the layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  It looks really nice in person, but doesn't show up as well in my photo. Pear Pizzazz ribbon was tied to the right side for added dimension, and when I stepped back to look at the finished card I thought the left side looked a little empty.  So I took a small torn strip or Early Espresso cardstock and added it on the left side.

Stamping Tip: Ok, I know that I should know this already because I have been stamping for many years, but I can't believe I just discovered that the markers have a bold line on one side, and a thinner line on the other side.  The bold line is for the thicker tip, the thin line for the thin tip.  So many times I was looking to use the thicker tip and it always seemed that I opened up the wrong side of the marker.  Just goes to show that there is always something new to learn!

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz #119795, Very Vanilla # 101650, Early Espresso #119686
Ink:  Early Espresso #119670
Marker:  Pear Pizzazz #119801 (in-color set)
Stamp Sets:  Elizabeth #117120, Because I Care #118685 wood or #118673 clear
Ribbon:  Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched Poly #119265
Accessories:  Color Spritzer Tool #107066
