Happy I Do Day

I love the new embossing folder Elegant Lines.  It creates such a beautiful pattern on your cardstock that you don't have to add much more to your card.  Simple and yet elegant, I know I will be using this on a lot of my cards.

For the card I started with a card base of So Saffron and layered it with Basic Gray and Whisper White.  Whisper White 5/8" organza ribbon is one of my favorite ribbons to use for wedding cards, and I tied this around my two layers, and attached the sentiment with a fine piece of white thread.

Stamping Tip:  If you wanted to add more color and dimension to this card you could take a sponge and go over the raised embossed images.  The raised images would pick up your color while leaving the rest of the layer white.  I liked the clean look of all white for this card, so I decided to leave it plain, but the embossing folders give you so many options for adding color and dimension.

I think I will go ahead and add some pearls to the circles in the image.  I will post that look tomorrow!

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  So Saffron #105118, Basic Gray #121044, Whisper White #100730
Ink:  Basic Gray #109120
Stamp Set:  Word Play #120308 wood mount or #120651 clear mount
Embellishment:  Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319
Punch:  1 3/4" Circle #119850
Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cut Machine #113439, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder #119277
