For the card above I took my Versa Mark ink pad and stamped my large flower and leaves onto my Whisper White Card Stock. I then heat set this with White Embossing Powder. Next I used a sponge to fill in the Rose using Rose Red Ink, and for the leaves I sponged Pear Pizzazz Ink. The sympathy was cut out with one of the Framelits and placed onto the card using Dimensionals.
When you sponge your color over your embossed image the embossing really stands out and gives you a soft look. To finish the card I tied on a piece of Early Espresso Seam Binding.
The card above was made by cutting two flowers using the coordinating Framelit. One was cut using Whisper White Card Stock and the other one with Basic Black Card Stock. I placed the whole black flower onto my Whisper White Card Base, To create the negative I then placed another piece of Basic Black Card Stock over this and then added the cut White flower. Once I adhered it using my Fine-Tip Glue Pen I trimmed the edges so they were even with the black layer. A really easy way to create this card.
Note: I used my Precision Base Plate and the new Big Shot Die Brush with this Framelit. Both of these products made it really easy to cut out the flower and get rid of the extra little pieces.
Tomorrow I will post two more cards using these two products. So much fun!
Listed below are all of the products used for both cards:
