The Going Global Stamp Set, Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack, and World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder all work so well together, and were some of the other products I got to play with at a Stampin' Up! Regional Event. We made the layer and now that I am going to introduce these products at my February Stamp Class I turned the layer into a card by adding a piece of Delightful Dijon Designer Series Paper under the layer and attaching all of it to a Very Vanilla Card Base.
A different technique used on the embossing folder was to ink it up. Yes, instead of running it through the Big Shot to get the impression of the map, we inked it with Sahara Sand ink instead. Now you get a nice impression of the map by just closing the inked folder and rubbing it into your Card Stock. A really simple way to get a different look. Memento Black Ink was used to add some additional constellations onto the map, and some of the Designer Series Paper was added to the side and front of the layer.
The sentiment was stamped onto a small piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock and I just snipped the ends.
