This is one of the easel cards we will be making at this month's stamp class.  Easel cards are easy to make once you have your dimensions, and they are a nice way to send those special wishes.

To make the card I started with a piece of 4 1/4" x 11" Lucky Limeade Cardstock.  I scored it at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".  The piece of Calypso Coral for the front of the card measures 4" x 5 1/4" , and then another piece of Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper cut at 3 3/4" x 5" was layered on top.  I dressed this up with some die cut butterflies, some pretty ribbon and a sentiment.

To get your easel card to stay open you can use an embellishment such as a button or brad, but for this card I just cut and punched three pieces of cardstock.  These pieces were layered on a piece of Whisper White cardstock which was placed on the inside of the card.  All you need is to add something to create depth so the front of your card rest against it to stand up.   I posted a side view of the card because this helps you visualize how the scored card folds.  Let me know if you have any questions.
