Ornamental Pine

Outside and Inside of one of my Christmas Cards.

Here is one of the Christmas cards I sent out this year.  I really love the Ornamental Pine Stamp Set.  I also used this set to make coasters, and made a Shutter Card with this set as well.  You can't really see it in the picture, but I added Dazzling Details to the leaves and pine cone to give the effect of snow and it really sparkles.  My ornament was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, and I sponged some Crumb Cake ink around the pines to give a softer look.  I love being able to send handmade cards out all throughout the year, but Christmas is my favorite time of the year to create.  I also like to add an inside sentiment to my Christmas cards, and thought the added pine stamping in the corner was a nice touch.

To heat emboss, first stamp your image with Versa Mark Ink and then add your embossing powder and heat.  It is really a simple technique that adds such a nice touch.  I hand snipped my ornament and placed it onto my card using dimensionals.
