One Layer Card

I was asked to present a card class to a group of women who are beginner stampers.   The group will have at least 20 women so I thought it would be best to design 4 cards therefore I could break them up into groups, each with their own cut materials and supplies.

I wanted to keep the cards pretty, but at the same time not be too time consuming, or too complicated.  Here is one of the cards they will be doing.  Just because it doesn't have a lot of layers I still think it is pretty and can be used for many occasions.  I also wanted them to be able to make it for an occasion they wanted, so by using the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set with this card, they will have 26 different sentiments to choose from.

My card base is Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock.  I really wanted to pick some fresh colors to get us in the mood for spring, especially since we are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight and I think we have all had enough snow this winter.  To the card I tied a piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding, and then added my paper doily.  Before I placed the doily on with dimensionals I stamped my flower.  The full flower was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe, and the outline of the flower was stamped with Baked Brown Sugar.  I then added my Get Well Wishes to the top.  I hope the ladies like it, and get to see what fun stamping and creating is.

I have also prepared cut paper so they can  make book marks to go with each card.  I'll post a picture of those tomorrow.

The following were used:
