Vase of Metal Artwork |
Close up of cut and embossed metal |
I wanted to add something pretty to the Easter flowers I was giving to my mom this year, so I added a plant stake that I adorned with metal artwork. Once I got started I thought why not make more. So I got busy and made enough to fill a large vase. I will sell some at upcoming craft fairs, but also plan on using them in my potted plants for decoration, and also to hold up some of my larger blooms.
I purchased roof flashing at Home Depot, and cut it using various Dies and my Big Shot. I then also embossed the metal with embossing folders, and used a glue gun to attach everything to the plant stake. The Big Shot cuts through the metal flashing just like paper, and the embossing folders added a really nice look. So easy and fun to make.
The following Stampin' Up! products were used:
Big Shot #113439, Leaves #2 Original Die #112459, Flower Folds Bigz XL Die #115970, Top Note Bigz Die #113463, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die #114507, Frame, Oval Scallop Bigz Die #114521, Scallop Circle Bigz Die #113468, Lattice Bigz Die #115958, Fun Flowers Bigz L Die #121812, Ovals Original Die #114525
Embossing Folders: Stripes #123128, Square Lattice #119976, Vintage Wallpaper #120175, Perfect Polka Dots #117335, Finial Press #115963,

I absolutely love what you have done with this copper flashing. My husband and I just arrived home from Lowe's with a roll of it and I am definitely going to be using this in my April Stampin' Brunch Bunch class as their surprise project! Thank you for your inspiration and blessing my day. I do have some questions and I would leave my phone number as I would really like to speak with you - but that would be a public invitation to crank calls. I am so excited! :)))))
I found a lot of great home metal artwork that I can display as decor. This was a great article that gave me some good tips and ideas. Thanks!
