Fancy Flower Birthday

Playing around with a few punches and Designer Series Paper I came up with this idea for a flowerful birthday card.

I started with a card base of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, followed by a Square Lattice Embossed piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I then added a layer of Baja Breeze seam binding.  I am so glad Stampin' Up! added more seam binding ribbon colors in the Occasions Mini catalog.  I am going to make sure to stock up on them because I like having a larger selection of colors to choose from, and I really like the look and feel of the seam binding.  Next I punched three large flowers with the Fancy Flower punch, and then punched some smaller flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch.  I used Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper and Early Espresso cardstock for the flowers, and added brads to the centers.  The sentiment was sponged with Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, and Pumpkin Pie ink to also tie into the colors in the flowers and to add some more dimension to it.  Don't forget - to know exactly what colors are in your Designer Series Paper, just look under the paper name in your catalog and they are all listed there for you.  How easy is that!

To make today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz #119795, Whisper White #100730, Early Espresso #119686
Designer Series Paper:  Greenhouse Gala #117167
Stamp Set:  Full of Life #111500
