Recycled Boxes

I saved the boxes my Simply Adorned charms came in.  They are a nice sturdy box, and by stamping some snowflakes, tying some pretty ribbon, and adding a gift tag, I now have a nice collection of boxes for some of the Christmas presents I will be giving out this year.   They are so much nicer than the ones that usually come with the gift itself, and by making them yourself they let the recipient know how much you care.

To place the ribbons on the box I first  punched a small hole using my Crop-a-Dile on the side of each lid.  I then placed a piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding through each hole, and tied small knots on each side  to keep it in place.  Next I took small strips of the Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, and Whisper White ribbon, and tied them around the piece of Cherry Cobbler that was placed through the punched holes on the lid.

To embellish the boxes I used the following:
Ribbon: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding #120992, Always Artichoke Seam Binding #121000, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta #109070, Hemp Twine #100982
Stamp Set:  Tags til Christmas #120847 wood mount, or #121169 clear mount (Holiday Mini), Snow Swirled #111690
Ink:  Always Artichoke #105219, Whisper White Craft #101731
Punch: Decorative Label #120907 (Holiday Mini)
Accessories:  Crop-a-Dile #108362
