Bohemian Designer Washi Tape Punch

While I am away, I thought I would just post a few cards made with retiring products.  The punch was created by layering Washi Tape onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and then punching it out.  A quick, easy way to get a new look with your punches.  My Designer Series Paper layer was placed down without sponging any ink on it to show off the lines, but you could add color to it if for a different look.

Shine On - Wedding Card

If you are looking for a pretty paper for a wedding card, try one of the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Papers.  This pack of paper comes with 12 sheets of 12 x 12 paper, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs, and printed on kraft paper with silver foil designs on one side.  The other side of the paper has a different design but only one side has the silver foil.  This paper will be retiring at the end of the month.

I also added some Iced Rhinestone Embellishments to a few of the diamonds on the paper, along with a piece of Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon.  I stamped my sentiment with the "For the New Two" stamp set, and punched the corners of my tag with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch, and all of these products will also be retiring at the end of the month.

Beautiful Bunch

Well, the only item not retiring on this card is the Card Stock and ink that I used.  Both stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, both punches and the ribbon will not be in the new Annual Catalog in June.  So if you like any of these products, you only have a few weeks to purchase them.

The Sahara Sand Lace trim is on sale for 30%, and unfortunately the English Garden Designer Series Paper is already out of stock.

For my card when I inked my flower with Night of Navy Ink, I spritzed it with a small amount of water before I stamped it to give it a softer look.  I also sponged some Hello Honey ink to the flower and the Scallop Oval sentiment to add a bit more color and to coordinate with my Designer Paper.

Saying goodbye to "Big News"

The Big News Stamp Set is retiring, but I think it is one set I won't be selling at my Open House.  I love the large letters, the variety of sentiments and the different fonts on all of the stamps.  Some sets are just harder to say goodbye too, so I think I will hang onto this one a bit longer.  If you like this set you can purchase it at a savings of 25%.  It is just one of the many retiring products on sale.

The Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper and Pacific Point ribbon are also retiring, along with the Circle Framelits as well.  Sigh, so many great products retiring, but that just means we have a lot of great new products to look forward too in just a few short weeks.

Sneak Peak!

I did not get to attend the Stampin' Up! convention in April, and I am still anxiously awaiting my new product order which I should have next week.  However, I can share with you this cute bag designed by Stampin' Up! that shows some of the new In-Colors, and a cute new Framelit and Stamp Set.  This set is one that I was able to preorder and can't wait to start designing with it.  It also comes in a bundle - yeah!

I will start posting projects as soon as I can that use new products, but I still will be focusing on current product that you can still purchase in my next few posts.  Remember, a lot of great products will be retiring in a few weeks and you still have time to purchase them, some at savings up to 60%.

I do want to note, however, and apologize if my blog posts become sporadic over the next few weeks. My husband and I are taking a long anticipated vacation this month, my son and his wife who just had a baby in January have  moved into a new home and we are trying to help them get settled, and I am trying to get to my grandchildren's soccer and baseball games as much as I can.  So, while my stamping is always one of my priorities and joys, nothing beats family and that is what I love about my Stampin' Up! "job".  I am dedicated to my customers, and they know I am here for them by phone or e-mail even if I am away, but I also can stop for a few weeks and take time out for family.  So, I will be posting but not just as regular as I would like.

Getting ready for the new Catalog!

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that we get to preorder products and receive our catalogs a month earlier than the general public.  Now, I can't share with you any of the inside pages of the new catalog, but I can share with you the front cover.  You can see the new In-Colors on the bottom, and a few sneak peeks at some new products.

I placed my preorder for products today, and can't wait to start creating.  If you are a customer of mine, or live in my area and do not have a relationships with another Stampin' Up! demonstrator you can come to my Open House on Monday, June 6th from 6 pm - 9 pm or Wednesday, June 8th from 10 am - 2 pm to pick up your free copy.  If you can't make those dates contact me so we can make arrangements for another date for you to pick up your catalog.  The date is a week later than I would of liked, but I will be away the first week of June.  We will have a whole year to create, and learn new techniques and I am looking forward to sharing the catalog and new products with you.

Remember - the current Annual Catalog has a lot of retiring products on sale at a discount, so go to my online store and check out the items before they are gone.  For added discounts, while you are there check out the Clearance Rack too.  The link to the Retired List can be found here.

Saying goodbye to "Apple of My Eye"

Another retiring stamp set is "Apple of My Eye" which is a really nice set for some "Sweet" thank you and thinking of you cards.  You still have a few weeks to purchase the set,  but will be gone when the new catalog comes out June 1st.

I punched two tags with the also retiring Ornate Tag Topper Punch.  I will really miss using a lot of these great punches in my classes and workshops, but will definitely be hanging onto them for personal use.  One tag was punched with Whisper White Card Stock and the other with a piece of Farmers Market Designer Series Paper.

To get the ink onto my cherries I used my Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Old Olive Markers, coloring directly onto the stamp.  I tied some Old Olive Baker's Twine and placed the top tag onto my card using Dimensionals.
