Flower Patch

The Flower Patch Stamp Set and coordinating Flower Fair Framelits that I used in my card can be purchased together as a bundle to save you 15%.  So many great Photopolymer Stamps that are easy to work with when doing 2 Step Stamping.  They stick really well to your blocks and because they are clear you see exactly where you are stamping.

 

My card base is Whisper White Card Stock that was layered with another piece of Whisper White. I stamped my large flower in Crisp Cantaloupe ink and cut it out with the coordinating Framelit.  I then cut another smaller Framelit using Calypso Coral ink and placed this in the center of my flower.  Another smaller Framelit in Crisp Cantaloupe and a small pearl were added.  My larger leaves were stamped in Pistachio Pudding Ink and then I used Wild Wasabi ink for the smaller leaves.  Some smaller flowers were stamped with Calypso Coral ink and a few more pearls were added.  I finished the card by adding a piece of Calypso Coral 1/2" Seam Binding.

Age Awareness

 

Love the large lettering in the Happy Birthday in the Age Awareness Stamp Set.  It is a Photopolymer  Set so the images stick really well to your blocks for easy placement, and you don't need to add much more to your card when the cutte sentiment says so much.

 

My card base is Daffodil Delight Card Stock that I embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I then tied some Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the card before I added my stamped sentiment and swirls.  I usually like to add some more embellishments or Designer Series Paper to my cards, but I really didn't think it needed anything else.

Hooray for Today!

Such a great sentiment.  I made it for a birthday card, but it would also work for any special occasion  you are celebrating.  Think outside the box and change your colors and background paper and it could be a cute saying for the birth of a baby, graduation, wedding, and so much more.

 

My card base of Whisper White Card Stock was layered with a piece of Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper.  I then stamped my sentiment from the Geometrical Stamp Set with Pumpkin Pie Ink, added some punched stars and cut this out with a Starburst Framelit.  I also added a large circle of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder  to add a bit more contrast.

Maritime Birthday

I really like the nautical and also patriotic look of the Maritime Designer Series Paper.  You could get this pack for free if you purchase three other packs of Designer Series Paper valued at $10.95 and featured on pages 186-187 of the Annual Catalog.  This paper also coordinates with the Sea Street Stamp Set.

 

My card base of Real Red Card Stock was layered with a piece of Night of Navy Card Stock and Maritime Designer Series Paper.  I then embossed all of these layers with the Argyle Embossing Folder.  I added my birthday sentiment from the Tag Talk Stamp Set and punched it out with the coordinating Bracket Label Punch.

Boys Will Be Boys

 

 If you are looking for a cute set for children's birthday cards, Boys Will  Be Boys is great.  With 7 stamps such as legos, building blocks, the robot I used in today's card, and more you should be able to find an image that appeals to that special little boy you are celebrating.  For my grandson's birthday this year I made this Robot Birthday card, and yes, he is the best kid ever!

 

My card base is Smoky Slate Card Stock that I embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I added a layer of Back to Black Designer Series Paper and then stamped my image onto Whisper White Card Stock, punched it out with the 2" Circle Punch and layered that onto a piece of Basic Black that was cut out with a Starburst Framelit.  I added my sentiment to the top and just trimmed the edge to make it look like a banner, and placed this onto the card with dimensionals.

Cheers to Love

 

Cheers to Love is a great stamp set for wedding, shower, save the date, and thank you cards.  A must have set for anyone who is either planning a wedding, or like me, has a lot of weddings to attend.

 

My card base is Whisper White Card Stock that was stamped using Strawberry Slush ink and my sentiment. For my layer I cut a piece of Pink Pirouette Card Stock with an Apothecary Accent Framelit to have the sentiment centered around the opening.  I also embossed this layer with the Beautifully Barouque Embossing Folder and placed it onto my card using Dimensionals.  I decided to attach a Spiral Flower to my card because this wedding card will not need to be put in the mail and I think it adds a really nice touch to the card.  The leaves were punched from the Bird Builder Punch and the flower and leaves were placed on with Sticky Strip for a good hold.

Stampin' For a Cause

On Monday, August 4th I will be helping an organization called Humble Hearts for Hope make cards for deployed troops.  The goal is to make 500 cards in one night so I tried to design cards that won't take a lot of time, but will still be a nice surprise in their care packages.

The cards that will be made can be used by the troops to send home to their family and friends.  I can't imagine how hard it is to be away from your loved ones on special occasions, so hopefully getting these cards to send home to those they are missing will make the separation a bit easier.

Here are two of the cards we will be making.

To make the cards I used the Work of Art Stamp Set #134111 w or #134114 c.  I also used Real Red and Night of Navy Ink to give the cards a Patriotic Theme.  The sentiments are from a retired set.
