Just for Fun Treat Bags

Need a quick treat bag for a birthday party or other fun occasion, just add your favorite candy to your bag, and stamp an appropriate sentiment or image and your done.

For today's treats I filled the bags with M & M's and added two pinwheels to a punched scallop circle. I stamped one pinwheel directly onto the circle, and cut the other one out.  By adding a brad to the center of the pinwheels they actually spin.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products:
Stamp Set:  Sweets for the Sweet #122510 wood or #122512 clear
Punch:  1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119853
Accessories:  Sticky Strip #104294
I also used a variety of inks and brads!

Punches and Perfect Pennants oh my!

I debated about getting the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die, but I'm glad I didn't think about it too long.  I love it!  It comes with 6 different shapes and goes so well with so many other punches.

This is one of the quickest cards I have made.  A little embossing on the card front, a strip of punched lace, one large Scallop Circle from the Perfect Pennants Die and another inked and punched Scallop Circle embellished with a Designer Printed Brad and I'm done.  I didn't put a sentiment on it yet because it could be used for so many different occasions.  Oh, I love making cards, and while I don't mind taking my time to get them just right, I really love when the card comes together quickly!

To make today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Pool Party #122924, Whisper White #100730, Lucky Limeade #122926
Stamp Set:  Circle Circus #115778
Ink:  Pool Party #122938
Punches:  Lace Ribbon Border #122362, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119854
Embellishment:  In Color Designer Printed Brad #122940
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Finial Press Embossing Folder #115963, Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die #123126

Butterfly Headbands

I have embellished a lot of headbands with flowers, and needed to make more for an upcoming craft fair, and to sell at a local hair salon, and I thought it was time to try something different.

To cut the butterflies, I started with  craft foam purchased from a local hobby store,  my Big Shot Machine and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. After they were cut, I embossed them with either the Polka Dots or Finial Press Embossing Folder.  I embellished them a little more with some Stampin' Up! Glimmer Brads, and miscellaneous brads that I had in my inventory.   A little bit of hot glue to hold them in place on the headband and they're finished.

To make the headbands I used the following:
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die #114507, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335, Finial Press Embossing Folder #115963, Bright Glimmer Brads #121006

Berry Blossoms Easel Card

Easel card closed

Easel card opened

Side  view of card opened

This is one of the easel cards we will be making at this month's stamp class.  Easel cards are easy to make once you have your dimensions, and they are a nice way to send those special wishes.

To make the card I started with a piece of 4 1/4" x 11" Lucky Limeade Cardstock.  I scored it at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".  The piece of Calypso Coral for the front of the card measures 4" x 5 1/4" , and then another piece of Berry Blossom Designer Series Paper cut at 3 3/4" x 5" was layered on top.  I dressed this up with some die cut butterflies, some pretty ribbon and a sentiment.

To get your easel card to stay open you can use an embellishment such as a button or brad, but for this card I just cut and punched three pieces of cardstock.  These pieces were layered on a piece of Whisper White cardstock which was placed on the inside of the card.  All you need is to add something to create depth so the front of your card rest against it to stand up.   I posted a side view of the card because this helps you visualize how the scored card folds.  Let me know if you have any questions.

To make today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Lucky Limeade #122926, Calypso Coral #122925, Wisteria Wonder #122911, Whisper White #100730
Designer Series Paper:  Berry Blossom #122350
Stamp Set:  Thank you Kindly #111700
Ink:  Calypso Coral #122939
Ribbon:  Whisper White Organza #114319, Hemp Twine #100982
Punches:  Scallop Oval #119856, Eyelet Border #119853, Scallop Edge Border #119882, Corner #119871
Accessories:  Crop-a-Dile 108362, Big Shot #113439, Beautiful Wings Embosslits #118138

Create a Cupcake Birthday

I thought about stamping and then punching the cupcake, but decided instead to just punch it out using coordinating colors of Designer Series Paper.  Now, how easy is that!

The card base is Old Olive cardstock, followed by a layer of Whisper White and a piece of Daffodil Delight Designer Paper from the Brights Paper Stack.  Some Daffodil Delight 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain was added to the center of these layers before I added some more coordinating squares.  A few embellishments and punches dress up the squares, and some pearls make the icing look so yummy.  I also brushed on a layer of Illuminate Top Coat before adding the pearls to give the icing some sparkle, (sorry it doesn't show up on the picture.)

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Old Olive #100702, Whisper White #100730, Daffodil Delight #119683, Tempting Turquoise #102067
Designer Series Paper:  Brights Paper Stack #117155
Stamp Set:  Create a Cupcake #121915 wood or #121982
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise #100814
Punches:  Word Window #119857, Ticket Corner #119867, Cupcake Builder #121807
Embellishments:  Pearls #119247, Silver Brads #104336, Illuminate Top Coat #121084
Ribbon:  Daffodil Delight 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain #119770

A Basketful of Wishes

I'm always looking for different ways to make goodie baskets, and the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die does the trick for these birthday and for your treats.

I cut an assortment of cardstock using my Big Shot and the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die and then embossed the cut envelopes with different embossing folders for added texture. I tied ribbon, either around the envelope or to the stick, and then added my candy treat.  I used sticky strip to hold the stick into place and then stamped my images with ink and punched them out using either the Scallop Square or Scallop Circle punch.  The stamped images are from a retired stamp set, but you could use any type of stamp depending on what you are covering.  For my treat I used individually wrapped Peppermint Patties.  The sticks were purchased at a local craft store.

These would make nice favors for a baby or bridal shower.  Just change your stamped image for your event and you have a nice arrangement of treats.

For today's treats I used the following:
Assortment of Stampin' Up! cardstock and ink
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Scallop Envelope Bigz Die #113462, Variety of Embossing Folders, Sticky Strip #104294
Embellishment:  Variety of Stampin' Up! Ribbon
Punches:  Scallop Square #119884, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119854
