Picture Perfect Birthday

The Picture Perfect Party Suite has so many cute coordinating products, and I love the Designer Series Paper.  The images on the paper really pop out and you don't need to add much to it to make a really pretty birthday card.  The Picture Perfect Banner Ribbon unfortunately can not be ordered.  Stampin' Up! was having trouble getting it from the manufacturer in time for the catalog duration so they decided to turn the number off and make it unorderable.  But, there are so many other great products in this suite that I think it will be a top choice for many.

I started my card with a Lemon Lime Twist Card Base.  I added a piece of Bermuda Bay Card Stock that was embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder, and then added a small layer of Whisper White before placing on my Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to stamp my birthday sentiment right onto the paper, and to make it stand out a bit more I first stamped it with Bermuda Bay Ink, and then stamped the sentiment again with Versa Mark Ink and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.  Since this is a photopolymer stamp set it was easy to line my image up and stamp it again.  The clear embossing gives it some shine and looks really nice up close.  The colors in the paper are so vibrant that I didn't want to cover them up, so I thought stamping the birthday directly on top would do the trick.  The stamp set also has some nice sentiments for the inside of my card as well.
