Black, White, and Pink for Mother's Day

I have made several different mother's day cards with coordinating purses for an upcoming craft fair.  I like using different designer paper from the same pack because it really takes the guess work out of what looks good together.  I filled the purses with chocolate, but they are big enough inside so you can come up with a lot of good ideas on your own.  A special piece of jewelry, a gift card to mom's favorite store are just a few of the possibilities.

To make the card I started with Pink Pirouette cardstock, followed by a layer of Basic Black and a piece of Love Letter DSP.  Basic Black 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon around the middle, and a punched Fancy Flower embellished with a Pretty in Pink Flower Brad, and embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, kept the card simple but fun.  I also sponged some Pink Pirouette ink around the edges of the Scallop Circle sentiment.

The purse was made using the Big Shot and Box #2 bigz xl die.  The flap is the large scallop circle from Scallop Circle #2 bigz die cut with a coordinating piece of Love Letter DSP.  Some more Basic Black ribbon, the same used on the card, creates the handle, and the Basic Black neutral button was put on with glue dots.  I used velcro, purchased at a local craft fair, to keep the purse closed.
