Hooray for birthdays!

With all of the holiday cooking, shopping, and decorating we sometimes get so caught up in the moment that we forget to get that special birthday card for our family and friends who celebrate their special day during the busiest time of the year.  That is why I like to have a collection of birthday cards on hand so I can still get that special card mailed out on time.    I made several of the birthday card below because I just need to change the inside sentiment to add the personal touch it needs.

I stamped and punched out my balloons, put some on with snail adhesive and used Dimensionals to raise a few up.  I added Linen Thread behind the balloons and tied them together.  I then added my coordinating Washi Tape and a piece of Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper for more embellishment, and then added my birthday wishes to the bottom.

To save time I often make more than one card at a time of the same design.  You never know when you are going to need one, and once you have your design it is easy to cut your material for a few cards all at once.

Masculine Birthday Card

The Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper isn't just for your holiday cards.  I used a piece for a masculine birthday card.  I love the color combination, and I think it is perfect for a winter birthday!

I layered my Designer Series Paper onto a layer of Basic Black Card Stock, and added a piece of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape before I placed it onto my Whisper White card base.

I then used a Multipurpose Adhesive sheet cut to the size of my Happy Birthday Thinlit and attached it to a piece of Basic Black Card Stock.  I ran my thinlit through my Big Shot, peeled the adhesive off of the now cut piece and easily placed it onto my card.

The adhesive sheets make it so easy to adhere your thinlits or any small pieces that would be difficult to put adhesive on.

Gourd Goodness

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought I would post an easy Thanksgiving card.  I used some Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper for my background, stamped my two gourds, added some Burlap Ribbon and my card is done.

We are all so busy this time of year, so I like to do some quick cards, that still express my sentiments, but don't take up a lot of time.  The inside is stamped with the Happy Thanksgiving from Teeny Tiny Wishes, my go to stamp set for every occasion.
