Enjoy your Day!



I'm trying to get the most out of these last few weeks of nice weather and the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper is still one of my favorites for bright, sunny cards.

Adding a few different layers and coordinating paper creates a nice colorful background for your sentiment.  Your layers don't always have to be centered, and mixing and matching shapes also creates more texture and dimension for a different look.

Sponge Brayers



Using the new Sponge Brayers on a piece of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper takes a white embossed background and brings it to life with color.  You might think this paper in the Holiday Catalog is for only holiday cards, but I paired it with my little frog to make a thank you card instead.

I used Mint Macaroon Ink and my Sponge Brayer to highlight the leaves in my paper.  I thought this made a nice background for my little frog.  Using my Big Shot and two Lots of Labels Framelits I framed the frog and added a piece of Delightful Dijon Mini Striped Ribbon to finish my card.

I will post another card later this week using this same paper but finishing up with a Christmas card instead.

Paisleys & Posies

I stamped my images using Rich Razzleberry, Delightful Dijon, and Crumb Cake Ink, to coordinate with the colors in my Designer Paper and Ribbon.  I tried to create a nice background for my sentiment, and a few cut leaves in the same colors were the finishing touch.  A nice card for a thank you or Thanksgiving greeting.
