Another Season of Cheer Card

Yesterday I posted a simple birthday card using a piece of Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper. Well, today's card uses another one of the designer papers.  Just perfect for sending out a winter birthday greeting.  Love this paper!

Again, since the paper is so pretty, I just tied on a piece of Soft Sky Seam Binding (retired) and added my large sentiment which I sponged with some Soft Ski ink around the edges.   That is all I needed since the paper gave me so much of the design already.

Season of Cheer Birthday Card

My Christmas cards are finished, and I still have some Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper left.  I love the designs and knew they would also be good for some all occasion cards as well.  With such pretty paper I didn't want to hide it with a lot of other layers or embellishments.  I just tied on a Whisper White Satin Ribbon, added my sentiment and just stamped a few tiny flowers onto the end of it to finish the card.

This pretty paper will only be around for a few weeks, so I made sure to stock up on some extra before it retires.

Sheltering Tree

I am posting a card project today, but also want to remind you that the Online Extravaganza ends today.  Check out my prior post for the list of products, and you also don't want to miss out on the new products added for today's Flash Sale.

Now for today's card:

I think the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set is one of the most versatile sets Stampin' Up! offers.  You can change your tree to fit any of the seasons, and then add the sentiment that fits the occasion.  For today's card I framed my winter tree using Oval Framelits, added some snow flakes to fit the season and made it a Thinking of You card so it could be used for a variety of occasions.  When spring arrives I can just start adding some buds and leaves to trees, and continue to change it for the upcoming months ahead.

To make my frame I took two Oval Framelits and placed them together on my *Magnetic Platform. By cutting them out at the same time, the leftover piece that was between the framelits created my Oval. This can be done with your Square and Circle Framelits as well to create all sizes and types of frames.

In addition, I embossed my Pool Party layer with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog. Note -  This cute snow flake embossing folder will be retiring January 3, 2016 or while supplies last.

*Magnetic Platform available on the Online Extravaganza at 40% off.  The list price if $40.00 but on sale for $24.00.  Sale ends today!

Holiday Vellum Christmas Card

The Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum has three designs, all perfect for your holiday cards and projects.  I just added a layer of the snowflake vellum to a Smoky Slate Card Stock base to create my background.

For my sentiment, I embossed the  Merry Christmas with Silver Embossing Powder, and then tied a bow made with White 3/8" Glitter Ribbon.  I used dimensionals on the back of my sentiment, and glue dots on the back of my ribbon.

If you don't want to emboss your sentiment, you could stamp it with  Cherry Cobbler or Real Red ink to make it stand out and add more holiday color.
