Work of Art

Well, I am not calling my card a work of art, but the name of the stamp set I used for it is called "Work of Art".  The shapes and images in the set allow you to create in so many different ways.  For my flowers, I took the smaller of the "splotches" (I can't think of a better word for it), and stamped it in random order to create a flower.  Yes, it is very abstract, but that is what I like about this set.  It really allows you to experiment and create.

Blooming with Kindness

I really like the large flower in the Blooming with Kindness Stamp Set.  It makes such a pretty image for your card.  Pair it up with some coordinating Designer Series Paper, layer it onto your card, add a ribbon and your sentiment, and you have a nice thank you card that anyone would love to receive.  Remember, if your are not sure what colors to use together, if you are using Designer Series Paper, the back of your package lists the colors used in the pack making coordination easy.

The set also comes with five really nice sentiments.

Washi Tape Birthday

I used some All is Calm Designer Washi Tape to make a background for my birthday card.  I layered into onto coordinating card stock, added my stamped and punched sentiment, which I placed on top of a punched scallop circle.

Washi Tape goes on easy, stays in place and does not add a lot of bulk to your project.  A nice alternative to ribbon when you just want to change it up a bit.

Fry Box Christmas Favor

The Fry Box Bigz L Die is so easy to put together and decorate for a cute favor, hostess gift, or little treat for any occasion.

A piece of Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper was used to cut out my Fry Box, and two pieces of Sticky Strip is all it took to put it together.  I decorated it with a cut Christmas Tree that I embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  I placed some Dove Chocolates into a 4" x 6" Cellophane Bag and tied it up with some retired Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim Ribbon.

The Newborn King

I wanted to highlight the manger scene so I used Silver Embossing Powder and a framed oval to make it the focal point of my card.  The inside saying reflects the sentiments on the front - "MAY WE REMEMBER HIM THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON AND THROUGHOUT THE COMING YEAR."

My Whisper White layer was embossed with the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder, and Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details was added to some of the embossed images.  A Rhinestone Basic Jewel was placed in the center of my star and some Whisper White 1/2" Seam Binding was placed under my ovals.
