Bold Colors for Father's Day

A big, bold sentiment, needed some big bold colors, and I think the colors I selected fit the style I was looking for.

I started with a Polka Dot embossed piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock, followed by a layer of Pumpkin Pie DSP from the Brights Paper Stack, and a small strip of So Saffron.  Pumpkin Pie 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon added a nice finish to the two paper layers.  The sentiment was also layered with coordinating colors, and inked with Tempting Turquoise ink and placed on with dimensionals.  What a fun, colorful card to make!

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Tempting Turquoise #102067, Pumpkin Pie #105117, So Saffron #105118
Designer Series Paper:  Brights Paper Stack #117155

Surfs Up!

The Extreme Elements stamp set is so perfect for your background when using any of the "Extreme Sport" single stamps.

Bashful Blue cardstock and a layer of Play Date Designer Series created the base for the card.  The Whisper White layer was stamped with the Extreme Elements images using Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, and Marina Mist ink.  I layered this onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for added dimension and color.  The surfer was stamped with Marina Mist ink and then cut out and placed on with dimenionals.  What a fun card for any young person who likes the outdoors.

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Bashful Blue #105120, Crumb Cake #120953, Whisper White #100730
Designer Series Paper:  Play Date #117168
Stamp Sets:  Extreme Surfboard #115173, Extreme Elements #115181, Perfect Punches #117022 wood or #120516 clear
Punch:  2 x 1 3/8" Oval #119859

A Sunny Garden Birthday

Sunny Garden Designer Paper, paired with a flower from the Printed Petals Stamp Set, creates a nice colorful, summer birthday card.

I started with Whisper White cardstock, followed by a layer of Blushing Bride and a piece of Sunny Garden DSP.  After tying my Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon around the bottom, I then placed my stamped flower on top using dimensionals.  A Designer Button from the neutrals collection gave the center of the flower a pretty accent.  My sentiment was sponged with some Poppy Parade ink to help it blend in with the background paper.

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Whisper White #100730, Blushing Bride #119796
Designer Series Paper:  Sunny Garden #119831
Ribbon:  Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched Poly #119263
Ink:  Poppy Parade #119782
Stamp Sets:  Full of Life #111500, Printed Petals #116679 wood or #120444 clear
Punch:  1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119854
Embellishment:  Neutral Designer Button #119743

Birthday Wishes using the Inlaid Embossing Technique

I wanted everything but the center Happy Birthday to be embossed, so I placed my layered piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and stamped and punched circles onto the front of the card using snail adhesive, and then ran the whole card front through my Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing folder.  This inlaid embossing technique gives the card a unique look.

I started with Baja Breeze cardsock and then a layer of Pear Pizzaz and the circles were stamped from the Circle Circus stamp set.  I used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch to punch them out.  After I embossed everything, I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Pretty Postage Stamp set (Summer Mini), and instead of using the Postage Stamp which goes with this stamp set, I again used my circle punches instead, and placed this onto the center of the card using dimensionals.

To make today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Baja Breeze #111352, Pear Pizzazz #119795, Whisper White #100730, Tangerine Tango #111349
Stamp Sets:  Circle Circus #115778, Pretty Postage #123095 wood or #123097 clear (Summer Mini)
Ink:  Baja Breeze #111833, Pear Pizzazz #119784, Tangerine Tango #111835
Punches:  1 3/8" Circle #119860, 1 1/4" Circle #119861
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976, Dimensionals #104430

Framed Elements of Style

The Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is one of the products from the Occasions Mini Catalog that can still be ordered.  It is on a carry over list, and I am so glad because I love how it frames your projects and gives this card a great focal point.

I started with Pink Pirouette cardstock that I embossed with the Tulip folder.  Next,  I cut a piece of Basic Gray and Whisper White cardstock to fit inside the frame.  I colored my image in using a Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette marker .  Next I added some Basic Gray Satin Ribbon (retired) and tied the sentiment onto the ribbon with Linen Thread.

If you would like a list of products that are being carried over from the Occasions Mini Catalog, just send me an e-mail and I will be happy to get that list to you.
