Carousel Birthday

By stamping the large carousel right onto the front of my card and then adding the strip of Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper right over it, the carousel looked like it was set off in the distance.

I wanted the carousel horse to stand out so I stamped that onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and added some Gold Wink of Stella Glitter to the pole for a bit more color and embellishment.   The inside of the card was stamped with the coordinating sentiment to finish my card.

Suite Sentiments

The Suite Sentiments Stamp Set, which was used for today's card is in the Occasions Catalog and has 11 stamps with sentiments for many occasions.  I stamped the Easter sentiment in this set and cut it out with a Layering Oval Framelit to make it the centerpiece of the card.

To my card base of Basic Black Card Stock I added a layer of Crumb Cake Card Stock that I embossed with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.  I added piece of  Basic Black Card Stock that was cut  out with another Layering Oval Framelit to place behind my sentiment.  Next I used Elegant Eggplant ink to stamp some flowers from the Botanical Blooms and *Falling Flowers Stamp Sets and cut them out with their coordinating Framelit Dies.  To the center of the larger flowers I added some White Perfect Accents to finish my card.

*The Falling Flowers Stamp Set and coordinating May Flowers Framelits can be purchased together in a bundle to save you 10%.

Simple birthday card

I like to design some simple cards for my classes for beginner stampers to show them that you don't always need a lot of embellishments, or even stamping to create pretty cards.  The secret is coordination, and Stampin' Up! makes it really easy when their ink, card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and embellishments all work well together.

My card base is Mint Macaroon Card Stock that I layered with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock and a piece of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper**.  I then cut out a circle with a Stitched Shapes Circle Framelit and placed this onto the layers.  I tied some Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon around the layers, along with another small piece of Mint Macaroon 3/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon to complement my colors that were used to stamp my happy birthday sentiment.  The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White Card Stock and then cut out with a smaller Stitched Shape Circle Framelit and placed this onto the card using Dimensionals.

**The Succulent Designer Series Paper used in today's card can be yours FREE if you choose it as one of your Sale-a-bration choices.  This paper along with 6 other new items were released on Tuesday 3/21/17 and will be offered as a FREE option until the end of Sale-a-bration on March 31st. If you wish to purchase this as a FREE choice you need to use the number #147364.  All of these products were posted on my blog on Wednesday, 3/22/17.

Easter Message

If you need religions themed stamps for your Easter cards, the Easter Message stamp set is a good choice.  I stamped and cut out my cross, and the sentiment says it all.

To my card base of Very Vanilla Card Stock I added a piece of Elegant Eggplant Card Stock and used one of the beautiful papers from the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper pack.  I stamped my cross using Early Espresso ink, cut it out with my Paper Snips and adhered it using Dimensionals.  I stamped my sentiment at the bottom to finish the card.

Cake Crazy

Make any size crazy cake for a fun birthday card.  Coordinate some cute colors and embellishments and you have a quick birthday card to send.

My coordinating colors are Peekaboo Peach, Mint Macaroon, and Real Red, and I stamped the cake layers by size, starting on the bottom with the largest layer and finishing it off with the candle on the top.  Since this is a Photopolymer Stamp Set it was easy to stamp and align my layers, and because it is supposed to be a crazy cake I wasn't worried if my placement wasn't perfect.
