Star of Light

The Star of Light Stamp Set and coordinating Starlight Thinlits Dies can be purchased together in a bundle to save you 10%.  They are both a great combination for not only your holiday cards, but winter birthdays, and thank you cards too.

My card base of Crumb Cake Card Stock was layered with a piece of Night of Navy and Whisper White.  I cut the large star out of my Whisper White layer so when it was placed down on my card the Night of Navy could be seen behind it to give the star more dimension.  I cut another star out using Silver Glimmer Paper and placed on top of the star opening.  I added a pearl to the center, stamped some additional snow flakes using Soft Sky Ink, and added a sentiment to both the front and inside of the card.

September Paper Pumpkin Video

I really love the September Paper Pumpkin Kit.  What a great value - 16 plastic tubes, a photopolymer stamp set, ink spot, linen thread, and die cut tags which  you can now use to create really cute Halloween Treats.  If you like this kit, and are already a subscriber you can get now order refill kits while supplies last.  I ordered several refill kits and will use the products for other occasions and holidays as well.   For Christmas I think filling up the tubes with red and green candy would be really cute, and Valentine's day little hearts or candy would work too.  While some of the die cut tags have images on that you would use for Thanksgiving or Halloween, there are several that are blank so you could use them for any occasion.

Just click on the Paper Pumpkin link in the upper left hand column of my blog to see the ordering information for refills of this kit and several others that are also available.

I hope you enjoy the video and if you have any questions about Paper Pumpkin leave me a comment or send me an e-mail.

Another quick Halloween Treat Box

Back of the box - you can easily see the products inside.

Stampin' Up! has a lot of nice packaging options for small gifts and treats.  One of my favorites is the Cleary Tiny Treat Boxes.  They are really easy to assemble, and since they are clear there is no guessing what is inside.  That is a real big plus for me when I make items to sell at craft fairs.  People can see exactly what they are purchasing.  I create little sleeves to go around the box so you can just slip that off, take out your treat, and you can save the box to reuse again.

The sleeve I make around the box measures 2" x 8 3/4".  I score it at 2", 4", 6", and 8".  I wrap this around my box, making sure to leave the opening in the front and not covered up.  I use Fast Fuse Adhesive to keep the sleeve together, add a bow and my tag and the filled box is ready.

I used retired Halloween Paper to make my sleeve, but decorated the front of the box with my little Cookie Cutter Critters.

Halloween Scene "Peeps"

When I saw the ghost and pumpkin "Peeps" in my local grocery store I knew I wanted to dress them up in a cute gift bag for Halloween.  I used the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies and Spooky Fun Stap Set to decorate the top of the bags.

I used Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and Basic Black Card Stock to make the bag enclosure.  I embossed these wit the retired Spider Web Embossing Folder, and then stamped and cut my edgelits to make my Halloween scenes.  An easy treat for Halloween that I will be selling at craft fairs and also giving to my grandchildren.

A Little Hello

On Tuesday I posted a card using the same layout and Designer Series Paper.  For today's card I turned the paper around, added different stamped images and sentiments and I have another card using the same layout and cut materials.  I do this as a time saver after my stamp classes are over.  If I have any materials for a card left over, sometimes I just make the same card as I presented it in class, but I also like to change it up a bit so I have a nice variety of all occasion cards on hand, but the work was already done before hand.

Another Fancy Frost Card

This is the same design from the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper that I used on Monday's card with my little frog.  On this card I used my brayer and  Garden Green Ink which is more appropriate for my Christmas Card.

You can see that I just needed to changed my stamped images, background paper and ribbon to turn this Designer Paper into a background for a Christmas card.

To add a little bit more embellishment after I cut out my tree I added some Gold Glitz Dazzling Details to the branches, and I hand cut my packages and added some more Gold Glitz to the package ribbons.  A Mini Pinecone was tied onto my Real Red Cotton Ribbon (retired)  with a piece of Linen Thread to finish my card.
