May Paper Pumpkin

May's Paper Pumpkin shipped while I was away on vacation, and it was nice coming home to the little Orange Box and seeing the great contents inside.  If you do not get Paper Pumpkin but would like to see what you missed out on this month, this video by Stampin' Up! will show you what May's  kit is all about.

You can subscribe to your own surprise kit by clicking the Paper Pumpkin link in the upper left hand column of my blog.  The kits are a fun way to not only get creative with the project inside, but also a great way to start your own collection of unique stamp sets that you will only receive in the kits, as well as an Ink Spot that coordinates with the monthly kit and will change every month.

E-mail me or leave a comment if you have any questions about Paper Pumpkin, or would like help signing up for your own kits.

Party Wishes

I feel like I really didn't have a lot of time to demonstrate and create with the Party Wishes Stamp Set and Party Punch Pack.  They are in the Occasions Catalog, but will both be retiring at the end of the month, so I made sure to make a few cards using this bundle at my last two stamp classes.  I also love the bright colors in the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack and all of these products make some fun, colorful cards.

Note -  This will be my last post until June.  I tried to keep up but with vacation and family time I am taking a few more days off from blogging until the new catalog comes out in June.  Thank you!

Birthday Bouquet

When you have such cute Designer Series Paper, you don't have to add much more to your card.  I really like the images in the retiring Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper that I didn't want to cover it up too much.  I just added some ribbon and my sentiment, and a few coordinating layers and I have a quick, but really cute Birthday Card.

If you like the Seam Binding Ribbon better stock up now.  All of it is being retired at the end of the month and is available only while supplies last.   It is one of my favorite ribbons because it is so soft and really easy to tie, so I made sure to add some extra to my last order while it is still available.

Everyday Chic Washi Tape

I made another card with retiring Washi Tape and this one could be used for many occasions.  I just layered some of the tape at random lengths, added my oval framelits and stamped images and have a card that I can pull out if I need a sympathy, get well, or thinking of you card.

Washi Tape is so easy to use, and while the tape in the Annual Catalog is all retiring, there is some great new tape coming up in the new catalog in June.

Bohemian Designer Washi Tape Punch

While I am away, I thought I would just post a few cards made with retiring products.  The punch was created by layering Washi Tape onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and then punching it out.  A quick, easy way to get a new look with your punches.  My Designer Series Paper layer was placed down without sponging any ink on it to show off the lines, but you could add color to it if for a different look.

Shine On - Wedding Card

If you are looking for a pretty paper for a wedding card, try one of the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Papers.  This pack of paper comes with 12 sheets of 12 x 12 paper, 2 each of 6 double-sided designs, and printed on kraft paper with silver foil designs on one side.  The other side of the paper has a different design but only one side has the silver foil.  This paper will be retiring at the end of the month.

I also added some Iced Rhinestone Embellishments to a few of the diamonds on the paper, along with a piece of Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon.  I stamped my sentiment with the "For the New Two" stamp set, and punched the corners of my tag with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch, and all of these products will also be retiring at the end of the month.

Beautiful Bunch

Well, the only item not retiring on this card is the Card Stock and ink that I used.  Both stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, both punches and the ribbon will not be in the new Annual Catalog in June.  So if you like any of these products, you only have a few weeks to purchase them.

The Sahara Sand Lace trim is on sale for 30%, and unfortunately the English Garden Designer Series Paper is already out of stock.

For my card when I inked my flower with Night of Navy Ink, I spritzed it with a small amount of water before I stamped it to give it a softer look.  I also sponged some Hello Honey ink to the flower and the Scallop Oval sentiment to add a bit more color and to coordinate with my Designer Paper.
