Fun with the Fringe Scissors

I have been seeing a lot of really cute cards that use layers of card stock cut with the Fringe Scissors and I knew I had to make one for my monthly stamp class.  Just take a few colors that you think blend well together and cut away.

I started with a card base of Whisper White Card Stock.  My fringe scissor layers are Real Red, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, and Pink Pirouette.  I found that if I took a piece of Sticky Strip and placed it along the top of each layer and then cut with my fringe scissors up to the piece of Sticky Strip I got a really nice cut and then also had a strong adhesive to hold the layers onto my card.

My top piece is a piece of Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock that I embossed with a Adorning Accents Folder and then sanded to bring out the pattern.   I then added a piece of Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon which I placed on with some Glue Dots. To finish the card I added my birthday punched out with the Large Oval Punch and sponged with some Pink Pirouette ink for a bit of embellishment.

The following were used:
