F is for Friend

Well this card was an experiment.  I tried working with a few new products and stamp sets, and some products I haven't used in a while, and this is what I came up with.

I started by first using my Simply Scored Diagonal Plate and scored a few lines on the card.  I haven't used this in awhile and wanted to have it out for my monthly stamp class.  Next, I looked at some of my new stamps and saw that the Friend from the Amazing Family Stamp Set went well with an older set of mine called Occasions Alphabet.

I also took one of the precut flowers from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, sponged it with some Wisteria Winder Ink, cut a few slits and placed it onto my punched flower with a 3/8" Designer Printed Brad.  I stamped my large Friend onto the card a few times, and then added the My F is for Friend stamped image which was cut out with a Hearts a Flutter Framelit, sponged with Tangerine Tango Ink and then placed onto the card with Dimensionals.

Just Thinking

The Just Thinking  Stamp in the Spring Catalog cuts out nicely with a Window Frames Framelit and is a really large stamp that doesn't need a lot of extras to go with it.

I embossed my Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse, and Lucky Limeade Card Stock with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, and then added my large Thinking of You.  The stamp was inked with Midnight Muse ink, and then cut out with the coordinating Window Frames Framelit.  I added some strips of Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon and placed it on with dimensionals.  I also added some Silver Dazzling Details to the little flower on the stamp for a little sparkle.

The following were used:

More Amore Valentine

More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper comes with 10 sheets - 2 each of 5 double-sided designs, and 2 single-sided laser cut sheets, one in Real Red and one in Primrose Petals, and was used for today's post.

My card base is Primrose Petals Card Stock, with a layer of Basic Gray and then a sheet of the Designer Paper.  I cut one of the Primrose Petal laser cut hearts and placed it onto my card, and then added my stamped and punched Love image and an additional sentiment stamped onto my paper in the corner.  The laser cut images do take a little time to cut out, but they are really pretty and make a really nice focal point on your card or project.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Primrose Petals #126841, Basic Gray #121044, Whisper White #100730
Designer Series Paper:  More Amore #129309

Loving the Honeycomb Embossing Folder!

I think I found one of my favorite things from the Spring Catalog, the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Plus, with the addition of some new Core'dinations Card Stock the two go perfectly together.

Most of the products on todays card are new products, so it was a fun card to make.  My card base is Whisper White Card Stock, with an added layer of Early Espresso, and then my embossed layer of Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock.  Before I placed my stamped banners onto these layers, I sanded the Card Stock to give the honeycombs a  more distressed look.

The Banners were inked with Early Espresso and they are from the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set, and then cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits.  I am loving the framelits too - so easy to stamp and cut for perfect images and placement every time.  The Happy Birthday sentiment at the top (sorry it is hard to see in the picture) is from That's the Ticket Set, and was punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.  Some Whisper White Baker's Twine and a Silver Designer Button were the last details to finish the card.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Whisper White #100730, Early Espresso #119686, Pool Party Core'dinations #129321

Soda Pop Top Embellishments for a real pretty accent

This is one of the cards I designed for my January Stamp Class.  I didn't put a sentiment on it because this is a card that can be used for so many occasions.  I think it would make a pretty Wedding Card, but would also be nice for a birthday, thank you, get well, and even sympathy.  The Soda Pop Top Embellishment really adds a nice accent piece, and by running it through my Big Shot you get an even different look.

I embossed my card front with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder (a carry over item from the Holiday Catalog), and then added a piece of Basic Black Designer Series Paper.  The circular piece was cut using the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and this was also embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder.  My Pop Top was flattened with my Big Shot, and to the center of it I added a stamped image from the Collage Curios Stamp Set, and then punched this out with a 1 " Circle Punch and placed it in the center of the Pop Top.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla #101650
Designer Series Paper:  Neutral Designer Series Paper Stack #117157
Ink:  Old Olive #126953, Rose Red #126954
Stamp Set:  Collage Curios #129099 w or #129102 c
Punch:  1" Circle #119868
Embellishment:  Soda Pop Top #129388
Tools:  Big Shot #113439, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder #127819, Pennants Bigz L Die #123126

Mr. & Mrs.

Delicate Details Lace Tape was the perfect accent for my clean and simple Wedding Card.

I added the White Self-adhesive tape onto my Pool Party Card Stock, and added some small Rhinestones to dress it up a bit more.   The large Mr. & Mrs., a large single stamp looks really pretty heat embossed with White Embossing Powder, and was all that I needed to make myWedding Card.

In person the lace tape, the rhinestones, and the white embossing really stand out, so I didn't add anything else to the card and decided to keep it clean and simple!

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Pool Party #122924
Ink:  Versa Mark #102283
Stamp Set:  Mr. & Mrs. #126633
Tools:  Heat Gun #129053, White Emboss Powder #109132
Embellishments:  Delicate Details Lace Tape #130966 (Spring Catalog), Rhinestone Basic Jewels #119246

Mixed Bunch Birthday Card and matching purse

Want to make a little something for a special person on her birthday?  Why not make a card and coordinating purse and fill it with some small treasures.  What lady doesn't like a designer purse, and this is one you can afford to give.

My clean and simple card is Whisper White Card Stock that I embossed with a Delicate Designs Embossing Folder.  The embossing has just the right spots to add my punched flowers that coordinate with my larger flower and my purse.  My flower is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set, and I curled the edges a bit and placed it on the card with Dimensionals.  My purse was cut using the Petite Purse Bigz Die with Whisper White Card Stock as well, and I added an extra flap of Floral District Designer Series Paper so it all goes together.  Another punched flower and a pearl were added to the purse for extra embellishment, and I filled the inside with some chocolates.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Whisper White #100730, Rich Razzleberry #115316
Designer Series Paper:  Floral District #126919
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry #126950

Petite Pocket Valentine Treats

If you have a Big Shot Die Cutting Machine you can make these Petite Pocket Valentine Treats and fill them with some candy and you have a special gift for your little Valentine's.  My grandchildren love Air Heads candy and they are the perfect size to fit in the pocket.  I added an extra lollipop too.

To make my treats, I cut Pink Pirouette and Real Red Card Stock using my Big Shot and the Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die.  You can cut two pockets with one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock, and they go together with just two small strips of Sticky Strip along the sides.  I then cut strips of Love Impressions Designer Specialty Paper that I purchased on the Clearance Rack (and I just looked and it is still available) and wrapped it around the center.  I then added a large Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits and a small punched heart, and my sentiment.

If you don't have a Big Shot, Sale-a-bration is here in a few weeks. With the purchase of a Big Shot you already qualify for one free item in the Sale-a-bration catalog, and if you purchase an additional .05 of merchandise - well I know there is nothing for .05 but that is how close you are to getting two free products, you would be able to purchase a second product for free too. During Sale-a-bration you get to select one free product in the Sale-a-bration catalog for every $50 you spend in Stampin' Up! merchandise from the Annual Catalog or the Spring Catalog. A great way to get some really nice items for FREE!.

So Kind of You

To make my thank you card, I used a layout I used a few weeks ago for a sympathy card.  I really liked the simplicity of the design, so it was easy to alter it for my thank you.

For my sponged background I used my saved Window Frames Framelit stencil that I made by cutting a piece of the thick white paper that comes with your Designer Series Paper,  with the size framelit I wanted.  I sponged Crumb Cake Ink into the opening of the Window Frame, and then stamped on my images.  I also added the design around my images by using the Window Frames Template in my Festive Paper-Piercing Pack.  Both the Window Frames Framelit and the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack are a carry over item from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I also sponged some Primrose Petals ink around the outer edges of my Whisper White Card Stock card freont to give it a big more dimension.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Whisper White #100730
Ink:  Crumb Cake #126975, Primrose Petals #126858, Lucky Limeade #126984

Amazing Family

The name of the stamp set is Amazing Family, and how appropriate that it also has Friend as one of the stamps.  I made this card for a girlfriend of mine, and I am so lucky to have such great girlfriends that I consider as part of my extended family.  The stamp set is in the Spring Catalog.  If you don't already have your own copy you can check it out at my online store, or e-mail me if you would like your own copy.

My card base is Whisper White Card Stock, followed by a layer of Raspberry Ripple and a piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper.  I cut another smaller layer of Ripple to go under my Whisper White layer that was stamped with my sayings in Raspberry Ripple ink.  In order to get my images lined up in the spacing I wanted, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position my stamps.  A piece of Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding and a few pearls were added for a bit of embellishment, and I also rounded my corners with the 3/16" Corner Punch.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Whisper White #100730, Raspberry Ripple #126842
Designer Series Paper:  Floral District #126919
Ink:  Raspberry Ripple #126859
Stamp Set:  Amazing Family #129189 w or #129192 c (Spring Catalog)

Spring Catalog is here!

The Spring Catalog is here and I am so happy to share some new products with you.  The Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit made it really easy to make my card for today's post.

If you have a copy of the catalog, the kit is on page 18, and it shows many creative ways to use it. I decided to use less of the precut flower pieces than they show in the samples, and used two of the colors instead.  This way I get a pretty card with many more of the precut flower pieces left over for another project.

My card base of Very Vanilla card stock was embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder (a carry over item from the Holiday Mini Catalog), before I layered my pieces from the kit, and I used Early Espresso ink to stamp my sentiment.  Otherwise, everything else you see came from the kit, so it really doesn't get much easier to get creative.

The following were used:
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla #101650
Ink:  Early Espresso #126974
Tools: Paper Piercing Tool #126189, Stampin' Pierce Mat #126199
Designer Kit:  Pop-Up Posies #131395 (Spring Mini Catalog)

Note:  Page 36 of the  Spring Catalog shows you the items from the holiday catalog that are still available.
