One design, three sympathy cards.

I posted a card in January that I made using a design inspired by Stampin' Up! demonstrator Michelle Wark.   I liked the layout and thought it would work great for sympathy cards.  Here is my take on three different cards all using the same design, just changing up the stamp sets and sentiments.

Each card has a card base of Bravo Burgundy and is layered with Very Vanilla and Wild Wasabi cardstock.  The Wild Wasabi cardstock was cut using the Top Note Bigz Die and then cut in half and sponged with some Bravo Burgundy ink, and then all of these layers were embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  From there I just changed my stamped images, placing them on more Very Vanilla and Bravo Burgundy cardstock, and either cut them down to size, or used a punch to get the best shape.  Some ribbon and my sentiment complete each card.  A really easy way to get extra cards made, while still making each one unique.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Bravo Burgundy #105123, Wild Wasabi #108641, Very Vanilla #101650
Ink:  Bravo Burgundy #105214
Stamp Sets:  Faith in Nature #122490 wood or #122492 clear (Hostess), Nature's Pace #122660 wood or #122662 clear, Petite Pairs #122495 wood or #122497 clear, Thoughts & Prayers #113252
Ribbon:  Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Grosgrain #120930, Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding #120999, Hemp Twine #100982
Punches:  2 1/2" Circle #120906, Large Oval #119855, Word Window #119857
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Top Note Bigz Die #113463, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder #120175, Stamping Sponge #101610, Crop-a-Dile #108362

Upsy Daisy Birthday

When I need to make a masculine card, I usually go through my Well Worn Designer Series Paper to find a perfect background.  This is a great pack of paper to help you make all of your masculine themed cards.

I started with Very Vanilla cardstock, and stamped my Upsy Daisy stamp in Cajun Craze ink before I added my Designer Series Paper.  After adding the layer of DSP I tied Black Satin Ribbon around the layers for embellishment, while still keeping it a masculine card.   A really, simple and quick card to make, but one that was a big hit at my monthly stamp class.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla #101650
Designer Series Paper:  Well Worn #122359
Ink:  Cajun Craze #119671
Stamp Set:  Upsy Daisy #111710
Ribbon:  Basic Black 5/8" Satin #117285

Bringing Baby

If you need some baby cards, the Bringing Baby A' la Carte stamp is a great choice for a quick card, and at a cost of $7.95 it is a great value too. Your not sacrificing anything on your design just because it doesn't take a long time to make, but because it is such a large stamp you don't need to add a whole lot more to your design to send your special wishes.

The first card uses Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and the second card is made with Blushing Bride.  Both also use Whisper White for a layer behind the Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper.  Once my layers were all attached, I ran them through my Big Shot and used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to give the card more dimension.  My stork was stamped on with Soft Suede ink, and I colored in just a few of the details with either a Pear Pizzazz or Blushing Bride marker.  My images were placed on using dimensionals, and an additional sentiment was added to the bottom of each card as well.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Pear Pizzazz #119795, Blushing Bride #119796, Whisper White #100730
Designer Series Paper:  Nursery Nest #122347
Ink:  Soft Suede #115657   Markers:  2011-13 In Color Assortment #123002
Stamp Sets:  Bringing Baby #122905, Baby Bundle #118525 wood or #120576 clear, Petite Pairs #122495 wood or #1224097 clear

Simple but Elegant Thank You

Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush coordinated well for today's thank you card.  I saw a similar design while I was surfing other blogs and liked the simple and clean layout.

Added to my cardstock was a piece of Designer Series Paper from the In Color Paper Stack, and a piece of Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon.  My thank you is an A' la Carte stamp called Elegant Thank You, and to dress it up a bit I added some Little Leaves cut with the Big Shot, and embellished them with Wisteria Wonder flowers punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  A few pearls and I'm finished.  Now, it doesn't get much easier than that.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Wisteria Wonder #122922, Concord Crush #119792, Whisper White #100730

Thinking of You Hummingbird

Time to pull out a stamp set I haven't used in a while, Elements of Style.  I thought the hummingbird would be a nice way to say thinking of you.

I embossed my Very Vanilla cardstock with the Stripes embossing folder before I added my Blushing Bride and Twitterpated layers.  I inked my hummingbird twice, first in Blushing Bride, and then again in Pear Pizzazz to create a shadow effect.  My hummingbird was layered onto a piece of Very Vanilla and Basic Gray Cardstok, and the Very Vanilla edges were punched with the 3/16" corner punch. Dimensionals popped up my sentiment which was punched out with the Scallop Oval punch.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla #101650, Blushing Bride #119796, Basic Gray #121044
Designer Series Paper:  Twitterpated #125406 (Occasions Mini)

Everybunny Easter Baskets

I love all of the colors of Easter, and making Easter Baskets is just one way to show them off.

I used the Fancy Favor Box Bigz XL Die with my Big Shot to make the boxes.  I decorated them using the Everybunny Stamp Set, and stamped both the girl and boy bunnies on a Scallop Circle cut from the Scallop #2 Bigz Die.  I colored my bunnies in with a variety of markers, added coordinating ribbon, and attached the handle using brads.  I will fill them with candy later, but just getting a jump start on the upcoming holiday.

The following were used:

Happy Easter Everybunny!

I know children love getting candy in their Easter Baskets, but I think they would really like these cute pencil filled Easter bags too.

The 1 x 8 cello bags are a carryover item from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I filled them with pencils I purchased at a local store.  The bags come with their own adhesive to keep them closed.  I stamped my bunnies in Early Espresso ink, and then colored them in using a variety of markers.  I punched them out and used Sticky Strip to keep them attached to the bag.

I have also filled these bags with jelly beans and M & M's  so of course, there will still be candy in the Easter baskets.

The following were used:
Stamp Sets:  Everybunny #122705 wood or #122707 clear, Teeny Tiny Wishes #115370
Ink:  Early Espresso #119670  and a variety of Stampin' Up! markers
Punches:  Extra Wide Oval #119859, Word Window #119857
Adhesive:  Sticky Strip #104294
Accessories:  1 x 8 Cellophane Bags #124134

Masculine Birthday Card

I saw this layout on a blog by Stampin' Up! demostrator Mary Fish, and liked it for a masculine birthday card.  Each month I try to have one or two masculine designed cards for the ladies to choose from at my stamp camps, because that seems the hardest for us to come up with.  Thanks Mary for your inspiration.

My card base of Whisper White was layered with Crumb Cake and Bashful Blue cardstock.  The Bashful Blue layer was embossed with the Stripes embossing folder.  The Designer Series Paper is Well Worn, a great set for masculine cards, and this small piece was layered on a piece of Early Espresso.  Another piece of Cajun Craze cardstock was added for contrast.  Early Espresso 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon brought it all together, and  a 5/16" Neutral Brad added some embellishment.  The sentiment was inked in Early Espresso ink and punched out with the Extra Large Oval punch and placed on top of a Crumb Cake Label Framelit.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Whisper White #100730, Bashful Blue #105120, Cajun Craze #119684, Early Espresso #119686, Crumb Cake #120953

Paper Clip Bookmarks

Sorry, it's another quick post today.  It is my stamp class week, and my granddaughters birthday today, so I don't have time for a long post, but I wanted to share this easy project.

These are mediumn sized paper clips that I attached with a variety of cardstock and Designer Series Paper.  I used a variety of punches to get different looks.  Most of the buttons I purchased on the Clearance Rack at a great bargain, and once again, this is a great project to use up some of your scraps.  For each clip I used cardstock for the back, and attached some Sticky Strip to hold it together.  I then placed sticky strip onto the Designer Series punched piece and placed this on the top.  The buttons were also put on with Sticky Strip.

This also works great using the Owl and Bird punch for a different look.  They sell great at craft fairs too.

Supples used:
A variety of cardstock, designer series paper, designer buttons and sticky strip - All Stampin' Up! products.

Clothespin Refrigerator Magnets

Just a quick post today to show you some refrigerator magnets I am making for a craft fair.  They are a great way to use up your scrap papers, and will look really cute holding your favorite treasures.

To make the magnets, I covered the clothespins in a variety of Designer Series paper and then brushed over the paper with Modge Podge to create a good seal.  To put the paper onto the clothespin I used Sticky Strip to provide some extra hold.  I added some ribbon, buttons, and a tag for embellishment, and then added a magnet strip to the back.

I made over 60 of them in a short period of time, and you can decorate them for any occasion.

This would be a great kids craft too.  Let them help you make their own to display their school projects or pictures.

Stampin' Up! sells everything I used today except the clothespins and Modge Podge.  Use your scrap Designer Series Paper, buttons, and small pieces of ribbon to decorate, and have fun creating your own.

Party This Way

If you have a sweet tooth, you will like the cute artwork on the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper.  Yummy ice cream and sundaes are just what we need to get the birthday party started.

I embossed my Pool Party cardstock with the Square Lattice Embossing folder before I added my layer of Calypso Coral and a piece of the Sweet Shop DSP.  Some Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon added some extra embellishment, and my sentiment which was stamped on with Lucky Limeade ink, is one of the FREE stamp sets you can choose in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  This stamp set is also available for purchase in the Idea Book and Catalog too.

A few of the items in the Sale-a-bration catalog are from the Idea Book and Catalog, but how nice it is to be able to get them for free during the  Sale-a-bration promotion period.

Sunny Get Well

Some Daffodil Delight cardstock puts a bit of sunshine into my Get Well Card, and coordinates with my Designer Series Paper that was used to punch out my bird.

Pear Pizzazz cardstock and a piece of the Pocketful of Posies Designer Series paper were added to my card base, along with a piece of Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon.  My scallop circle was cut with my Big Shot and the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die.  The Whisper White circle was punched with the 2 1/2" Circle punch and then embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Using a combination of Pocketful of Posies and Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper I punched out my bird and placed him on the circle.

When I use a punch like the Bird Builder used today, I usually just punch out the whole image each time.  Even if I am going to use different pieces for the wing and branch I still find that the easiest way to do it, instead of just trying to punch out what I want.  I save the leftover pieces in a small container, and next time I am going to use the punch I sort through my miscellaneous pieces and see if I have anything that coordinates.  I have individual containers labeled for all of my builder punches, and since Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well together, I can usually find a piece I need without always having to do extra punching.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Daffodil Delight #119683, Pear Pizzazz #119795, Whisper White #100730
Designer Series Paper:  Pocketful of Posies #122354, Nursery Nest #122347
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz #119684
Stamp Set:  Sincere Salutations #115068
Punches:  Bird Builder #117191, 2 1/2" Circle #120906, Scallop Oval #119856
Ribbon:  Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched Poly #119265
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976, Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die #112469

Blossom Punch Beyond the Garden

I used the new Blossom Punch and some Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper to make today's card.  With paper this pretty I didn't need to add a lot of extra stamping.

My card base is Pacific Point cardstock, with a piece of the Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper.  Next I added a layer of Wild Wasabi cardstock that was embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder.  A different piece of Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper was punched with the new Blossom Punch, and to the middle I did stamp one of the small flowers from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set, and added a Bright Glimmer Brad.  The thanks sentiment from the Sale-a-bration set Outlined Occasions, was stamped on using Pacific Point ink and placed on with dimensionals.

This is one of the cards that will be offered at my monthly stamp class, and hopefully it gets everybody in the mood for nice weather ahead!

Be My Valentine

A few more valentines using the Take It To Heart stamp set.  The hearts could be either punched out using the Full Heart Punch or cut using the Hearts Collection Framelits Die, since this smaller heart fits both of these tools so perfectly.

My card base is Riding Hood Red, which is layered with a piece of  Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, Blushing Bride and Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped my hearts on a separate piece of Whisper White and then punched them out with my Heart punch.  A small piece of Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon was placed behind the hearts which were placed on with dimensionals.  I also added a bow to the top along with a basic pearl.  My sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set and was embellished with a small punched Blushing Bride heart.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Riding Hood Red #111348, Blushing Bride 119796, Whisper White #100730

Nursery Nest Gift Bags

\
Today I am posting a few more decorated gift bags.  These bags were made using the Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents.  Now, it doesn't get much easier than that!

If you are like me, I hate spending a lot of money on a gift bag, and the ones I find in the stores are so expensive.  So, I find it not only economical, but a lot of fun to make my own.  They are more personalized, and show the gift recipient that you care enough to take the time to make the bag. They don't have to know how easy they are to do.

The following were used:
Designer Series Paper:  Nursery Nest #122347
Quick Accents:  Nursery Nest #122370
Punches:  Scallop Edge Border #119882, Extra-Large Oval #119859, Scallop Oval #119856, Large Oval #119855
Ribbon:  White Baker's Twine #124262, Retired Grosgrain Ribbon
