If you like the added layer of the Scallop Square Punch behind the 1 1/4" Square Punch but don't have it in your collection, it is still available on sale in the Clearance Rack in the old style punch.  The 1 1/4" Square Punch was also on sale when the new items on the Clearance Rack first came out but it has sold out, but there are still a lot of great items left.  Click on the Clearance Rack link in the left hand column and reward yourself with some Christmas presents of your own.

My card was made with More Mustard cardstock with an added embossed layer of Pool Party.  My flower stamp was inked using markers and then stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the 1 1/4" Square Punch on a diagonal.  Early Espresso cardstock was used for my Scallop Square Punches, and is the same color as my ribbon.

This is one of those cards that I will keep on hand to be used at a later date.  It will work nicely for a thank you or thinking of you card.

I used the following:
Cardstock:  More Mustard #100946, Pool Party #122924, Whisper White #100730
Stamp Set:  Day of Gratitude #120835 wood or #121148 clear
Markers:  More Mustard #100076, Early Espresso #119680
Punches:  Scallop Square #119884, 1 1/4" Square #119865
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Houndstooth Embossing Folder #123134
Ribbon:  Early Espresso 1/4" Grosgrain #120931

Quilted Thanks

Use your Simply Scored Scoring Tool and you can create a quilted background for your card in a snap.  To create even lines my Whisper White layer measures 3 3/4" x 5" and is scored first at 1 1/4" and 2 1/2" and then turned and scored at 1", 2", 3", and 4".

I started with Crumb Cake cardstock, and then added a layer of Cajun Craze and Whisper White which was stamped with my images first and then  scored to create my quilted background.  After it was scored I sponged some additional Crumb Cake ink to my stamped layer.  My Cajun Craze 1 1/4" Striped Ribbon was first tied together with Linen Thread to create a nice fold and a place to put my Basic Glimmer Brad.  A Tiny Tag was punched and stamped with an additional sentiment.

Experiment with your Simply Scored Scoring Tool and you can create all types of backgrounds, lines, folds, and edges on your card or project.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake #120953, Cajun Craze #119684, Whisper White #100730

Clean and Simple Birthday Card

An easy, clean and simple design for any occasion is today's card layout which was inspired by Tammy Fite.

Wisteria Wonder is my card base with a layer of Wisteria Wonder Patterns Designer Series Paper next.  Two Top Note Bigz Dies were cut, one in Whisper White, the second which was cut around the edges in Wisteria Wonder. The Wisteria Wonder piece was embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder, and using the Four Frames Stamp Set and coordinating Decorative Label Punch I added my sentiment, which was accented with Whisper White Satin Ribbon and an In Color Designer Printed Brad.  Just change up your colors and sentiment, and you have a nice card layout for thank you, get well, sympathy, and so much more.

The following were used:

Hello, Doily Wedding Wishes

Today's card was inspired by a Becky Roberts design.

I just love the Hello, Doily stamp.  I have used it to make birthday, thank you, sympathy, Christmas, and wedding cards.  It looks great stamped in classic ink, or heat embossed with any of your favorite colors.

My card base of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Next a layered a piece of Island Indigo cardstock , and then another piece of Whisper White.  I stamped my large doily using Island Indigo ink, and stamped the additional flowers from the Just Believe set in Basic Black ink.  For added embellishment I added a Basic  Black Glimmer brad, some 1/2" Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon which was turned over to the solid side, and an Itty Bitty Punch of Island Indigo Designer Series Paper.  The pearls in the top corner were actually added to cover up an ink smudge when I stamped my sentiment.  I always tell the ladies at my monthly stamp classes that there is usually a way to cover up your mistakes, and if you don't tell anybody they very rarely even know it.

I used the following:
Cardstock:  Whisper White #100730, Island Indigo #122923
Designer Series Paper:  In Color #122384
Stamp Sets:  Hello, Doily #122845, Just Believe #116948 wood or #120453 clear, Petite Pairs #122495 wood or #122497 clear
Ink:  Island Indigo #122937, Basic Black #101179
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder #120175,
Ribbon:  Basic Black 1/2" Scallop Dots #124145
Punch:  Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309
Embellishments:  Basic Glimmer Brads #121003, Basic Pearls #119247

Get Well Soon

Before I go on about today's card, I just want to say thank you to all of the very creative Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who share their ideas on a wonderful demonstrator only site called Stampin'  Connections.  It is just one of the many perks of being a demonstrator myself.  The wealth of information and sharing helps me and inspires me to be creative, and gives me so many ideas for my own cards.  Today's card was inspired by one I saw a few days ago.  I changed it up a bit, but the idea for the band-aid, which is not my original idea,  was so cute I also wanted to share it with all of you.

I started my card with Basic Gray cardstock, followed by layers of Crumb Cake and Whisper White, and using my Spritzer Tool and Crumb Cake marker I added a spattered background to the white layer.  My band-aid was made by taking a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and punching the corners with the 3/16" corner punch and then adding a punched 1 1/4" square for the center.  Both of these pieces were embossed, the larger piece with the Square Lattice folder, and the square with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.    I then added my little hippo to layered pieces of cardstock, and added just a bit of color using markers.  A really easy card to make, and just a bit different from your ordinary get well.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Basic Gray #121044, Crumb Cake #120953, Whisper White #100730
Stamp Set:  Kidoodles #122865 wood or #122867 clear
Ink:  Basic Gray #109120  -  Markers:  Crumb Cake #120967, Bashful Blue #105111, Pretty in Pink #100045
Accessories:  Spritzer Tool #107066, Big Shot #113439, Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976, Perfect Polka Dots #117335, Dimensionals #104430

Punched Christmas Tree

I used the Petite Pennants Builder Punch to quickly punch three Christmas trees.  What a great punch!  And, when combined with the Pennant Parade Stamp Set, this punch can be used for so much more too.

My Real Red cardstock was embossed with the Snow Burst Embossing folder, and a Top Note Die cut piece of Whisper White was the layer for my trees.  I used Spice Cake Designer Series paper to punch out my trees, and the tree trunks were stamped on using Chocolate Chip Ink.  The sentiment was stamped on using Real Red ink, and it is from the Heard from the Heart Stamp Set.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Real Red #102482, Whisper White #100730
Designer Series Paper:  Spice Cake #124003 (Holiday Mini)
Ink:  Real Red #103133, Chocolate Chip #100908
Stamp Sets:  Pennant Parade #122740 wood or #122742 clear, Heard from the Heart #111644 wood or #120006 clear
Punch:  Petite Pennants Builder #122361
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Snow Burst Embossing Folder #124096, Top Note Bigz Die #113463, Dimensionals #104430

Merry Christmas from Dasher

A' la Carte Stamp Dasher makes a cute Christmas card.  So easy to make and very economical too.

My Whisper White card base was embossed with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.  I then cut the Large Scallop from the Scallop Square Duo Bigz Die using Garden Green Cardstock.  Dasher was stamped on to a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock with Chocolate Chip ink, and for a bit more color I added some Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Whisper White #100730, Garden Green #102584

Christmas Lodge meets Deck the Halls

Stamped Envelope Flap
Using  the Christmas Lodge Stamp Set and Deck the Halls Fabric, I created my Very Vanilla with a touch of Cherry Cobbler, Christmas Card.

I started my card by embossing Very Vanilla cardstock with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder.  Next, I cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Very Vanilla cardstock with my Big Shot and the Top Note Bigz Die.  The Cherry Cobbler piece is the original size, and the Very Vanilla piece was cut to layer on top.  I also embossed the Very Vanilla piece with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder, and tied a piece of Deck the Halls Fabric around both pieces.  To gather the fabric in the middle, I tied a small piece of Linen Thread around it, and then added a punched piece of retired Deck the Halls DSP to cover the thread.  I placed this piece on with a glue dot.

A Designer Frame was then cut again with my Big Shot, and I stamped my images, and sponged some Cherry Cobbler ink around it for a bit of color.  I also added another punched piece of retired Deck the Halls DSP to bring the pieces of holly together.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla #101650, Cherry Cobbler #119685
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler #119669, Always Artichoke #105219

Holiday Windows Movers & Shapers

Yesterday I posted a card using the Curly Label Magnetic Movers and Shapers, and today I used one of the Holiday Windows Movers and Shapers.

Whisper White cardstock was cut at 4 1/4" x 11", the size needed for this die, and using my Big Shot I cut the ornament on the top of the card.  I added some Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper and Real Red Satin Ribbon to the bottom of the card, and used Red Glimmer Paper to punch out my ornament.  If you need to make a lot of Christmas cards, this would be a really quick one to make.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Whisper White #100730, Red Glimmer Paper #121790
Designer Series Paper:  Holly Berry Bouquet #14004 (Holiday Mini)
Ink:  Real Red #103133

Movers and Shapers Curly Label

What I like about the Magnetic Movers & Shapers Curly Label Die is that you can cut your shape anywhere on your card.  It allows you so much flexibility and it coordinates with the Curly Label Punch. When you purchase the Curly Label Die you get the Magnetic Die Base which can be used with the Holiday Windows and Punch Windows Movers & Shapers, both having four different shapes.

I started with River Rock cardstock cut to measure 4 1/4" x 11", the size needed for this die.  I added a layer of Early Espresso cardstock and a piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper and embossed them with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Some Blue Denim Ribbon was tied onto the layer, and I added an additional sentiment punched with the Jewelry Tag.  Random stars were stamped on both the front and inside of the card, and my birthday sentiment was punched out with the coordinating Curly Label Punch and placed inside the die cut window.  Sponged Not Quite Navy ink was added to this for more dimension.

Tomorrow I will post a card using one of the Holiday Windows Movers & Shapers.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  River Rock #108640, Early Espresso #119686
Designer Series Paper:  Well Worn #122359
Ink:  Not Quite Navy #102977
Stamp Sets:  Extreme Elements #115181, Petite Pairs #122495 wood or #122497 clear, Tiny Tags #118091 wood or #118592 clear

Faith in Nature

When I am not adding any Designer Series Paper or a lot of other color to my card I like to add embossed backgrounds to my paper to give it added dimension instead.

My card base of Rich Razzleberry cardstock was embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder, and then my smaller layer of Rich Razzleberry was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder.  A small piece of Rich Razzlberry 1/4"Grosgrain Ribbon was also added before I placed my stamped images which were put on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  The inside of the card also had a layer of Very Vanilla to make it easier to write your personal message, and it was also stamped with one of the leaves.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry #115316, Very Vanilla #101650
Stamp Sets:  Faith in Nature #122490 wood or #122492 clear, God's Blessings #114972
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry #115658
Ribbon: Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon #120930

Curly Label Punch card

Grab your Curly Label punch to create your own Designer Series Paper background.  Run it through an embossing folder, and you get even more texture and embellishment.

The card base is Baja Breeze cardstock, that was layered with Very Vanilla cardstock.  Using Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper, I punched several Curly Labels and arranged them on top.  To get straight edges, I just adhered the punches and then cut off any excess.  Both of these layers were embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  A piece of Baja Breeze Seam Binding was tied on, and my sentiment was stamped on a small piece of Very Vanilla, and then trimmed to fit.  I then layered another piece of Tangerine Tango and cut it to fit as well.  Both of these pieces were punched with the 3/16" corner punch, and I added a punched small flower and a pearl to dress it up.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Baja Breeze #111352, Very Vanilla #101650, Tangerine Tango #111349
Designer Series Paper:  Paisley Petals #122367
Ink:  Baja Breeze #111833
Stamp Set:  A Word for You #117032 wood or #120528 clear
Ribbon:  Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding #1122331
Punches:  Curly Label #119851, 3/16" Corner #119871, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309
Embellishment:  Basic Pearls #119247
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Square Lattice Embossing Folder #119976

Top Note Die Christmas Purse

If you are in need of a quick gift for Christmas, try making this cute little purse which would make a nice gift for teachers, co-workers, or anyone special on your list.  I filled mine with candy, but you could also fill it with any type of small gift item.  I have seen many of these made before by other demonstrators, and just had to try my own.  Really easy to make!

I started the purse by cutting a piece of Real Red cardstock with the Top Note Bigz Die.  I scored it at 1 1/4" inches on the top, and folded it over, and then added another small piece of Holly Berry Bouquet DSP that was also cut with the Top Note Die.  My candy was put in a small cellophane bag and then folded over and placed onto the Real Red Top Note piece with Sticky Strip.  I added another piece of Sticky Strip to the under side of the Top Note that was scored and folded to hold everything in place.  For the handle I punched two small holes with the Crop-a-Dile and added Real Red Grosgrain 1/4" ribbon that was knotted on each end to hold it in place.  A Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Button was the finishing touch.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Real Red #102482
Designer Series Paper:  Holly Berry Bouquet #124004 (Holiday Mini)
Ribbon:  Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain #109034
Embellishment:  Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Button #125636 (Holiday Mini)
Accessories:  Big Shot #113439, Top Note Bigz Die #113463, Crop-a-Dile #108362, 3" x 5" Cellophane Bag #103104, Simply Scored Scoring Tool #122334

Tree Trimmings

The Simply Scored Scoring Tool helped create a grooved background and a cute place to put my sentiment.

Whisper White cardstock, scored with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, is the base for my card.  To this I added a piece of the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper, and a piece of Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.  My ornament was stamped in Real Red ink and layered on top of Whisper White and Wild Wasabi cardstock.  A strip of Early Espresso Quilted Satin Ribbon was added along with a pearl for final embellishment.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Whisper White #100730, Wild Wasabi #108641
Designer Series Paper:  Holly Berry Bouquet #124004 (Holiday Mini)
Stamp Set:  Tree Trimmings #116722, Petite Pairs #122495 wood or #122497 clear

Simply Soft Hostess Set

I started this card by stamping the flower in Crumb Cake ink, but thought it was too pale.  So, I added some Versa Mark ink over the image (slightly off on pupose) an embossed with clear embossing powder. So, the image I finally came up with is a soft shadow of Crumb Cake ink behind the clear embossed image.

An added strip of Crumb Cake cardstock was added to the bottom, and helped the punched border stand out a bit more.   The finishing touch was some Crumb Cake ribbon and my sentiment.

The following were used:
Cardstock:  Bashful Blue #105120, Crumb Cake #120953, Whisper White #100730
Stamp Set:  Simply Soft #122565 wood or #12567 clear (Hostess), Thoughts & Prayers #113252
Ink:  Crumb Cake #121030, Versa Mark #102283
Ribbon:  Crumb Cake #1/2" Seam Binding #122332
Punches:  Eyelet Border #119853, Large Oval #119855
Accessories:  Heat Tool #100005, Clear Embossing Powder #109130
