Spice Cake for Fall

I really like the colors in the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, and with coordinating Designer Buttons to go with it you can whip up a card or project in no time.  I left my card blank today because it is one of those cards that can be used for many different occasions. Thanks to Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Melva Peters who made a similar card and where I got my inspiration!

The card base is Pool Party cardstock followed by a layer of Soft Suede.  Before I added my piece of Spice Cake DSP I punched two strips of Very Vanilla Cardstock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, and added some Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  Next, I punched a large scallop circle with Pool Party Cardstock, added a Soft Suede button and embellished the button with some flowers punched with the Boho Blossoms Punch.  A Basic Pearl was the finishing touch.

At my stamp class yesterday one of the ladies needed a masculine birthday card but she liked the design of this card.  All she needed to do was turn the DSP around because the other side is filled with Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, and River Rock stripes.  Just another reason I love Stampin' Up!'s Designer Paper.  You get 6 double sided designs of paper, 2 of each sheet for a total of 12 sheets, with great coordinating colors for many different occasions.

I used the following:
Cardstock:  Pool Party #122924, Soft Suede #115318, Very Vanilla #101650
Designer Series Paper:  Spice Cake #124003 (Holiday Mini)
Punches:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border #119275, Boho Blossoms #119858, 2 3/8"Scallop Circle #118874
Ribbon:  Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta #109070
Embellishments:  Basic Pearls #119247, Spice Cake Designer Buttons #124113
