Love Birds Simply Scrappin for Cards!

One of my Christmas presents this year was the Love Birds Simply Scrapping Kit.  I asked for it for Christmas, because I hate to admit it, but I'm not really into scrapbooking as much as I am into creating cards, invitations, and gift accessories, but I really loved the images and colors in this kit.  So, I thought why not ask for it for Christmas, along with other things I knew that I probably wouldn't purchase myself, and play around with it and see what else I could do with it.  I'm so glad I got it and today's post shows three cards I designed using the self-adhesive die cuts and patterned paper in the kit.

It was fun designing these cards.  Everything but the one piece of ribbon added to the one card came in the kit.  They all use coordinating cardstock for the card base, and two of them were embossed with the Big Shot and embossing folders.  I have so much left over, that if I wanted to make scrapbook pages I could, but I think I will just design more cards, and I know I will be able to make many, many more.  The kit comes with 3 sheets each of two pieces of double-sided 12 x 12 DSP for a total of 6 sheets, and 2 sheets each of 4 colors of cardstock for a total of 8 sheets, and two sheets of 6 x 12 self-adhesive die cuts.  The possibilities of creations are endless, and I can't wait to see what I can make next with the remaining pieces.

In addition to the Kit which is #118707, I used the following:
Punches:  2 3/8" Scallop Circle #118874, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119854
Accessories:  Mat Pack #105826, Paper Piercing Tool #116631 (added around blushing bride scallop on the 2 birds card), Big Shot #113439, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder #117335, Finial Press Embossing Folder #115963
Ribbon:  Early Espresso 1/4" Grosgrain #120931
