Birthday Ensemble

The new Petal Cone Bigz L Die from the Occasions Mini Catalog, makes a fun little gift holder that goes nice with a coordinating card.

For the card and petal cone I used Old Olive cardstock and a piece of Rich Razzleberry Brights Designer Series Paper from the Patterns DSP Stack.  The inspiration for the card came from my February issue of Stampin Success, which showcased the design, and I just changed a few of the colors.  I like how the stamped hearts look like they are flowing from the cupcake.  The cupcake was created by first stamping it in Chocolate Chip ink, and then punching it out using the Build a Cupcake Extra-Large Punch.  The ribbon on the cupcake was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink and then cut out and adhered to the cupcake with 2-Way Glue.  I also took my Paper Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to accent the left corner of the card.  Both the stamp set and punch are also from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  When I stamped the Happy Birthday at the bottom, I got a little smudge of ink on the cardstock, so to cover it up I added two punched hearts.   There is alway a way to cover your mistakes, and sometimes I think the card looks better with the addition of the two hearts!
