Upsy Daisy Wedding

Today I get to share in the wonderful wedding ceremony of a very good friend's daughter.  I have known this young woman since she was a little girl, and I think this is a card she will love.  I tried to capture the elegance of an evening, outdoor candlelite wedding, and the black and white paper and stamping seemed to be calling me.  And as usual, once I saw the picture actually posted on my blog, I thought it needed something else, so I added some Rhinestone Brads along the ribbon for added sparkle!

The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock, layered with  Basic Black cardstock, and a piece from the Love Letter Designer Series Paper Pack.  I stamped the Upsy Daisy flowers in Basic Black ink on another piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, and used a sentiment from Occasional Quotes - a Level 3 Hostess Stamp Set. The ribbon is Basic Black Taffeta which I later embellished with Rhinestone Brads.

Stamping Tip:  In order to get the rhinestones to attach evenly to my ribbon, I used my Mat Pack paper-piercing template as a guide.  The medium sized holes were just large enough for me to place a rhinestone through, and I placed a jewel in every other circle for even placement.

To make today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla #101650, Basic Black #121045
Designer Series Paper:  Love Letter #117162
Stamp Sets:  Upsy Daisy #111710, Occasional Quotes #117048 wood mount, or #120142 clear mount, (Hostess Level 3)
Ribbon:  Basic Black 3/8" Taffeta #119962
Embellishments:  Rhinestone Jewels #119247
Accessories:  Mat Pack #105826
