Fabric and More!

So many great new items in the Holiday Mini.  From great new embossing folders and fabric too, it's so much fun creating and experimenting.

I love the new look that fabric gives to this card, and the texture from the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder created a really nice background.  To start I used Always Artichoke for my card base, next a layer of Cherry Cobbler, then the embossed layer of Very Vanilla, all topped with the outer part of the Oval Die Cut Frame cut with the new Deck the Halls fabric using my Big Shot Machine .  To cut this frame I first cut a piece of fabric that was big enough to cover the die.  Next I used the new Big Shot Fabric Adhesive and cut it to the same size as the fabric.  I ironed the adhesive onto the fabric and then ran both pieces through the Big Shot.  When the piece was cut, using only the outer edge from the Scallop Oval Frame, I ironed that piece onto my embossed layer of Very Vanilla cardstock.  (Check out tomorrow's card to see what I did with the inner part of the scallop oval).  The adhesive worked great and if you are using it on something other than a card it is machine washable too.

To make today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Always Artichoke #105119, Cherry Cobbler #119685, Very Vanilla #101650
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler #119669
Stamp Set:  Christmas Greetings #115448
Fabric:  Deck the Halls #121716 (Holiday Mini)
Accessories:  Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #113439, Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #120902 (Holiday Mini), Oval Scallop Frame Bigz Die #114521, Big Shot Fabric Adhesive Roll #122194

Product Note:  Each assortment of Designer Fabric includes an instruction booklet highlighting five projects you can create using fabric.  It is for so much more than just cards.  They both also coordinate with Designer Series Paper of the same name as the fabric.
